The purpose of this study was to investigate the work values and occupational preferences of middle school students in Korea. The population for this study consisted of all middle school students in Korea. Based upon the residential districts, 568 second grade students (344 males and 224 females) were drawn from the stratified population randomly. The data was collected by surveying the sample by using instruments that were developed through the review of literatures. An alpha level of 0.05 was established to analyze the data collected prior to its application. The work values and occupational preferences of middle school students and their related variables were identified. Based on the results, some recommendations were made in the paper.
