This study focuses on foreign workers` job adaptation in Korean firms` field. Foreign workers are engaged in unskilled jobs widely from textiles industries to machinery industries, from simple handwork to inspection tasks of final products. Also the job qualification items reported by employers are related to manual abilities such as simple handicraft, equipment operation ability, quickness. Although these foreign workers are engaged in unskilled, the reaching time of job skill level as the same as Korean workers is proved to be very delayed. It is believed that it is due to the shortage of Korean verbal and cultural adaptability. Although undocumented foreign workers and industrial technical trainees varies with the migration paths, visa status, etc., their adaptation patterns in Korean society are vary similar with each other. This fact has a evidence of foreign manpower demand needed by Korean industries. In the other hand the supporting measures for job adaptability of foreign workers must be implemented.
