성폭력 가해대상에 따른 성폭력가해자의 대상관계 차이 분석

Sexual Offender s Object Relations according to Sexual Offender Types

본 연구에서는 성폭력가해자의 가해대상 선택에 따라, 성폭력가해자의 대상관계 특성에 어떠한 차이가 있는지 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 보호관찰소, 구치소, 교도소에서 진행하는 ‘성폭력 재범방지 집단상담’ 프로그램 참석자 40명을 대상으로 TAT를 실시하고, 그들의 이야기 반응을 사회인지 및 대상관계 척도(SCORS)로 평정하였다. 그 결과 아동대상의 성폭력 가해자들의 SCORS 구조적 차원 6개 척도(표상에 대한 정서적 어조, 관계에서의 감정적 투자, 가치와 도덕기준에 대한 감정적 투자, 공격성의 경험과 관리, 자존감, 정체감과 일관성)점수가 성인대상의 성폭력 가해자들에 비해서 유의미하게 낮았다. 또한 SCORS 대인관계 주제와 행동 차원 50개 항목에서 성인대상의 성폭력 가해자들은 아동대상의 성폭력 가해자들보다 ‘소망적’ 주제가 많이 드러났으며, 아동대상 성폭력 가해자들은 ‘희생’, ‘거절’, ‘배신’ 등 역기능적인 주제가 많이 나타났다. 본 연구의 의의는 성폭력가해자를 성인대상 가해자와 아동대상 가해자로 구분하여 살펴보아 상담 및 치료에 차별적 접근 근거를 마련하였다는 것이다. 그 외의 의미와 연구 제한점 및 연구방향 등을 논의 하였다.

The purpose of the current study was to examine difference of object relation patterns of sexual offenders according to victims whom they targeted. The Thematic Apperception Test (TAT) was administered to them during the group counseling session for recidivism prevention at a probation office, a detention center, and a prison. Then, the TAT narratives were scored using the SCORS. The results indicated that child-targeting sexual offenders scored significantly lower than adult-targeting offenders did in six structure sub-scales(affective quality of representations, emotional investment in relationships, emotional investment in values and moral standards, experience and management of aggressive impulses, self-esteem, and identity and coherence of self). Differences on the theme were also found between child-targeting sexual offenders and adult-targeting sexual offenders. In terms of the hopeful theme, adult-targeting offenders experienced more than child-targeting sexual offenders, whereas child-targeting offenders experienced a sense of sacrifice, refusal and betrayal. This highlights the importance of differential approach in counseling for child-targeting sexual offenders and adult-targeting offenders. The implications of the findings and future research are discussed.
