The Effects of Mother’s Coaching Ability on Infant’s Language Expression Ability

본 연구에서는 어머니의 코칭역량이 유아의 언어표현력에 영향을 미치는가를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 유아와 어머니 각각 154명이고, 어머니의 코칭역량에 대한 설문지는 대상 유아의 어머니가 직접 평가하였고, 유아의 언어표현력에 대한 설문지는 유아의 담임교사가 질문하고 유아가 응답하는 내용을 통해 평가 되었다. 본 연구를 위해 수집된 설문 자료는 SPSS 20.0 Program을 사용하였으며, 이에 대한 결과는 다음과 같다. 어머니의 코칭역량과 유아의 언어표현력과의 관련성을 살펴보기 위하여 상관분석을 실시한 결과, 어머니의 코칭역량과 유아 언어표현력 간에는 전체적으로 유의미한 상관이 있는 것으로 나타나 어머니의 코칭역량이 높을수록 유아 언어표현력이 높아지는 것을 알 수 있다. 어머니의 코칭역량과 유아의 언어표현력 하위 요인 간에도 모두 유의미한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 어머니의 의사소통역량과 유아의 사용 단어 수간에 가장 높은 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과를 통해 어머니의 코칭역량과 유아 언어표현력 간에 상호 밀접한 관련성이 있음을 알 수 있다.
