The Direction of the Development of the Employment Support System for the North Korean Defectors

북한이탈주민이 남한사회에 신속히 적응·정착하기 위해서 가장 먼저 해결해야 할 과제는 경제적 자립을 위한 취업이다. 정부는 이들의 취업을 위한 다양한 지원제도를 실시하고 있다. 본 논문은 북한이탈주민의 취업지원제도를 문헌연구 방법을 통해 이들의 경제적 현황과 특성, 취업지원제도의 내용과 분석, 그리고 분석결과를 통해 취업지원제도의 문제점과 발전방향을 제시하였다.

The economic independence through employment should be prioritized in order that North Korean defectors can quickly adapt themselves to and settle in South Korean Society. The employment is the key that North Korean defectors can secure the income and sustain the economic independence to live in South Korea. In this study, the economic status of North Korean defectors and the current state of employment support system for them were explored and the direction of the development of employment support system for North Korean defectors has been discussed.
