위기청소년의 미술치료 경험에 관한 내러티브 탐구

Narrative Inquiry into the Art Therapy Experience of the At-risk Adolescents

본 연구는 질풍노도의 청소년기에 현대 사회가 명명하는 ‘위기의 청소년’ 시기를 보내고 있는 청소년의 미술치료 경험에 관한 내러티브 탐구다. 본 연구의 목적은 성장과정의 ‘위기청소년’에게 미술치료는 어떠한 경험과 경험적 의미를 가지는가에 관한 탐구에 있다. 탐구를 위해 질적연구 방법 중 하나인 Clandinin과 Connelly의 내러티브 탐구 방법론을 근거로 미술치료의 과정을 통해 보다 심층적으로 관찰하고 기술하였다. 내러티브 탐구 결과, 연구 참여자인 ‘위기청소년’은 미술치료를 통하여 스스로 깨닫지 못한 행동에 대하여 <자기감정의 인식과 표현>을 경험하였다. 또한 미술치료의 새로운 관계 안에서 긍정적 소통을 <부모님과의 긍정적 소통>으로 재경험하며 그 소통을 통해 자신이 원하는 학교로 전학을 이행하는 <삶의 의미를 찾아가는 선택>을 경험하였다. 본 연구는 청소년기 위기에 관한 내러티브 탐구의 접근을 통해 미술치료적 ‘소통’이 주는 ‘공감’의 의미가 청소년의 자기 경험과 경험의 의미가 갖는 자기성장의 가치를 탐구하는데 그 의의가 있다.

This study is an inquiry of identifying what kind of experiences the life stories attained from art therapy gave to the at&#8209;risk adolescents in the course of the life process called crisis, and what kind of meaning was imparted by such experiences. Based on the narratives of the Narrative Exploration Methodology of Clandinin and Connelly, one of the qualitative research methods, observation and description were made in more depth through the process of art therapy. The result of this study allowed the ‘at&#8209;risk adolescents’, the participants of this study, to experience the <recognition and expression of self&#8209;emotion> regarding the behaviors that had not been realized by themselves. Also, the therapy allowed the participants to experience the <choices to seek the meaning of life>, which was to choose what school he or she wanted to transfer to, through the course of re-experiencing and extending the positive communication with the researcher through the art therapy into the <positive communication with parents>. This study is meaningful in exploring the value of self-growth, in which the meaning of sympathy given by art therapy communication through the approach of narratives, has the meaning of self-experience and experience for at&#8209;risk adolescents .
