교직이론과목이 예비교사의 역량에 미치는 영향

The Effects of Teacher Education Courses on the Competencies of Pre-service Teachers: Focusing on 『Educational Methods and Educational Technology』

교원양성과정을 통해 예비교사의 수업 전문성을 향상시켜야 한다는 요구가 높아지고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 교육방법 및 교육공학 과목의 이수가 예비교원들의 수업 역량에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 지를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울 소재 A대학의 사범대학에 재학 중인 예비교사 139명을 대상으로 2019학년도 개강 직후인 3월초와 종강 직전인 6월 초, 총 2회에 걸쳐 역량진단을 시행하고, 반복측정 다변량분산분석을 실시하여 7개의 예비교사역량에 대한 변화를 확인하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 7개의 예비교사 역량 중 5개의 역량(수업설계 및 자료개발, 수업실행, 평가 및 결과활용, 학급경영 및 행정, 교과전문성)이 유의하게 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 교육방법 및 교육공학 강좌의 이수가 예비교사의 역량, 특히 수업설계 및 자료개발, 수업실행, 학급경영 및 행정 역량의 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 통해 한 학기동안의 교원양성과정을 통해 예비교사들의 역량이 향상되고 있는 것을 확인하였고, 특히 교육방법 및 교육공학 과목의 이수는 수업전문성과 관련되는 수업설계 및 자료개발, 수업실행 역량을 향상시키는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 교직이론과목이 본래의 목적에 맞게 예비교사의 역량을 향상시키고 있음을 확인하였다는 점에서 그 의의를 찾을 수 있다.

There is an increasing demand to improve the teaching expertise of pre-service teachers through the teacher training course. Therefore, the study aims to examine whether the completion of the ｢Educational Method and Educational Technology｣ course has a positive effect on the teaching ability of pre-service teachers. For this purpose, a total of 139 pre-service teachers enrolled in the College of Education at A university in Seoul were surveyed twice in early March, just after the start of the 2019 spring semester, and early June, just before the end of the semester. In order to confirm the change in the pre-service teachers’ competencies, a repeated measure multivariate analysis was conducted. The results of the study are as follows; first, it was found that 5 of the 7 pre-service teachers’ competencies (subject-matter expertise, instructional design and development, teaching practice, evaluation, class management and administration) were significantly improved. Second, it was found that the completion of the ｢Educational Method and Educational Technology｣ course had a positive effect on the improvement of the competency of pre-service teachers, especially the instructional design and development, the teaching practice, and the class management and administration competencies. The results show that the teacher training program improves the competencies of pre-service teachers through one semester, and in particular, the completion of the ｢Educational Method and Educational Technology｣ course improves instructional design and development and teaching practice competencies related to teaching expertise. This study is significant in that it has been confirmed that the teaching theory subjects are improving the competency of pre-service teachers in line with the original purpose.
