초등학교 여교사의 체육수업 자기평가와 수업전략

Physical Education Self-Evaluation and Teaching Strategies of Elementary School Female Teachers

이 연구에서는 초등학교 여교사들이 자신의 체육수업에 대해 어떻게 평가하고, 평가수준에 따른 체육수업 전략은 어떠한지를 이해하고자 하였다. 이 연구를 위해 현직 초등 여교사 6명을 준거지향적 선택법(criterion based sampling)으로 선정한 후, 면담, 서술적 설문, E-mail 등을 통해 자료를 수집하여 Spradley(1980)의 귀납적범주분석(inductive categorical analysis)을 이용하였다. 초등 여교사의 체육수업 전략은 체육수업에 대해 자기평가 수준의 높고 낮음에 따라 공통적으로 활용하는 체육수업 전략과 특별하게 활용하는 체육수업 전략이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 먼저 체육수업에서 초등 여교사의 공통된 전략으로는 소통과 신뢰, 수업기대감, 수업연구와 노력, 인성, 체육 환경의 조성이라는 관점에서 유사한 측면을 보였다. 그리고 다른 한편으로 체육수업에서 초등 여교사는 자기평가 수준에 따라 특별하게 활용하는 전략으로는 체육수업 자기평가 수준이 높은 집단은 담임교사 수업, 교사 열정, 자율적 수업, 교과서 활용을 강조한 수업 전략을 활용하는 반면, 자기평가 수준이 낮은 집단은 전담교사 수업, 교사 능력, 통제적 수업, 지도안 활용을 강조한 수업 전략을 추구하였다.

This study examines the evaluation methods of elementary school female teachers for their physical education class and the dependence of their physical education strategy on their evaluation level. To this end, six elementary school teachers were selected through criterion-based sampling and data were collected through interviews, narrative surveys, and e-mails. Moreover, the data analysis method used in this study is the inductive categorical analysis by Spradley (1980). The study results showed that the physical education strategies of the participating elementary school teachers were primarily divided into two categories: common and special strategies. The common strategies of female elementary school teachers indicated similar aspects in terms of communication and trust, class study and effort, personality, and class environment creation. However, a special strategy was used because the level of physical education self-assessment of elementary female teachers was high and low. Groups with high levels of self-assessment used teaching strategies focusing on classroom teacher instruction, teacher enthusiasm, autonomous class, and the use of textbooks. In contrast, low self-assessment groups pursued a teaching strategy that focused on PE specialist teacher instruction, teacher ability, controlled class, and the use of lesson plans.
