국내 학습전이 연구의 동일방법편의 수준 분석

The Analysis of Common Method Bias in Korea Empirical Studies on Learning Transfer

인적자원개발 분야에서 학습전이는 지속적으로 연구된 주제였다. 학습전이에 대한 연구가 축적되 면서 직무현장 전이행동을 측정하기 보다는 학습자의 자기보고식 설문으로 학습전이 측정이 진행되 는 경우가 다수였다. 이런 상황에서 일부 연구자들은 자기보고식 설문으로 인한 동일방법편의 발생 의 문제점을 제기하였다. 그러나 문제제기나 한계점 지적만 있었지, 동일방법편의에 대한 실증적 연 구는 진행되지 못하였다. 이에 본 연구는 국내 학습전이 연구들에서 나타나는 동일방법편의 수준을 실증적으로 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위해, 국내 학습전이 관련 학술지 게재 논문 113편을 수집ㆍ분석하였다. 동일방법편의 수준을 분석하기 위해 표시변수방법과 방법쌍 비교법을 적용하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 표시변수방법에 따른 분석결과, 동일방법편의 발생을 고려해야할 정도의 상관계수 과대추정 현상이 나타났다. 또한 독립변수에 상관없이 동일방법 편의 발생이 고려되어야 하는 수준이었다. 둘째, 방법쌍 비교법에 따라 분석한 결과에서는 학습전이 범주 간에 상관계수의 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 따라서 방법쌍 비교법의 결과에서는 동일방법편의 발생이 확인되지 않았다. 다만 방법쌍 비교법은 동일방법편의의 최대 관점을 따르기 때문에 보수적 접근이라는 점에서 추가적인 논의가 진행되었다. 이상의 분석결과를 토대로 시사점을 제시하였다

Learning transfer had been investigated continuously in the field of Human Resource Development. Along with the cumulation of studies, learning transfer had been measured through the self-reported survey instead of observation or direct measurement of learning transfer in lots of studies. Although some researchers proposed the problems about common method bias(CMB) because of self-reported measurement, a positive study dealing with CMB of the studies about learning transfer did not reported in Korean and Global level. The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of CMB in the studies about learning transfer published in Korea. For the purpose, 113 articles published in Korean journals were collected and analyzed. Marker Variable Technique(MVT) and Method-Method Pair Technique(MMP) were utilized in order to analyze the level of CMB. The results were as followings: First, according to MVT results, the CMB need to be considered for studying learning transfer because of the overestimation in correlational coefficients. Also, regardless of independent variables, the level of CMB need to be taken into account by researchers. Second, according to MMP results, the CMB did not supported. But because MMP was a conservative approach to CMB, the additional discussions went on. Based on the results, conclusions and implications were suggested.
