기본 능력으로서의 수리력 평가 문항 개발 연구

A Study on the Development of the Assessment Items for Numeracy as Basic Competence

4차 산업혁명, 기능정보화 사회 등으로 설명되는 사회적 변화로 인해 역량 교육이 학교교육의 중요한 화두로 자리매김하면서, 역량을 뒷받침하는 기본 능력에 대한 논의의 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 기본 능력은 역량의 자원과 같은 의미를 가지면서 동시에 전통적인 3R’s를 넘어선 역량 교육의 출발점이다. 본 연구에서는 오랫동안 학교교육에서 학습을 위한 기본 능력 중 한 가지로 인식되어 온 수리력(numeracy)에 대하여 기본 능력의 관점에서 개념을 재정립하고, 학교수학에서 관련된 성취기준을 선정한 후 예시 문항을 개발하여 111명을 대상으로 현장 적합성 검토를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 2015 중학교 수학과 교육과정의 성취기준의 대부분이 수리력 평가에 적절히 활용될 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 한편 현장 적합성 검토 시행 후 학생들의 오류 반응을 분석한 결과를 바탕으로 문항의 수정 방안을 탐색하고, 수리력 관련 후속 연구에 대한 제언을 제시하였다.

In the wake of social changes driven by the 4th Industrial Revolution and the functional information society, as competency education has become the key word, basic competence that support competencies is emerging as an important topic in school education. Basic competence means the grounds to nurture competences and the starting point of competency education to advance beyond the traditional 3R’s. This study was to redefine the concept of numeracy, which has been recognized as one of the basic competences in school education for a long time. Sample items were developed after establishing the relevant achievement standards in school mathematics, and a field study was conducted on 111 students. The study results showed that most of the achievement standards of the 2015 middle school mathematics curriculum are applicable for numeracy evaluation. Meanwhile based on the analysis results on errors from the sample items, methods to correct the items was explored and suggestions were made for a follow-up studies related to numeracy.
