시각장애인 대상 색채 관련 연구에 대한 문헌 고찰

Literature Review on Color-related Researches for People with Visual Impairments

연구목적: 시각장애인을 대상으로 한 색채 관련 연구에 대한 문헌 고찰을 실시하여 이들의 색채학습 지원을 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 연구방법: 1974년부터 2019년까지 시각장애와 색 관련 용어를 조합하여 검색한 후 선정 기준에 부합하는 17편을 최종 선정하였다. 연구결과: 연구의 일반적 특성에서는 아동과 청소년을 대상으로 이들의 색에 관한 인식 및 현황을 살펴 본 조사연구가 전문학술지에 게재된 비중이 높았다. 연구주제에서는 색 지각 및 인연구의 일반적 특성에서는 아동과 청소년을 대상으로 이들의 색에 관한 인식 및 현황을 살펴 본 조사연구가 전문학술지에 게재된 비중이 높았다. 연구주제에서는 색 지각 및 인지 영역이 많았으며, 색 환경이나 색 보조공학과 관련한 연구가 주를 이루었다. 장애특성에서는 장애발생시기를 기재하지 않은 논문이 많았고, 전맹⋅저시력에 대한 연구의 빈도가 높았다. 결론: 시각장애인 대상 색채 관련 연구 분석을 통해 이들의 색 정보 처리 및 학습을 위한 향후 연구 방향을 제시하였으며, 특히 다감각적 체험을 기반으로 한 색채학습 연구를 제안하였다.

Purpose: A literature review on color-related researches targeting for people with visual impairments was conducted to provide basic data for supporting color learning of them. Method: Seventeen articles published from 1974 to 2019 that met the inclusion criteria were finally selected by searching for a combination of terms related to visual impairment and color. Results: With regard to the general characteristics of researches, there was found a high ratio of surveys on awareness and current state of color of children and adolescents published in journals. As for the research topics, there was shown a number of researches performed on color perception and cognition, and they mainly focussed on color environment or assistive technology related to color. In terms of the characteristics of impairments, there were found many researches without the age at onset, and those conducted on people with total and partial visual impairments scored high frequency. Conclusion: Through reviewing color-related researches for people with visual impairments, this study suggested the direction of further researches for their processing and learning of color information and also proposed, in particular, color learning researches based on multi-sensory experiences.
