본 논문의 목적은 타일러의 교육과정모형인 목표모형에 대한 대안적인 모형을 탐색하는 데에 있다. 타일러의 목표모형은 수단목적관계에 입각하여 교육을 설명하고 있다는 점에서 심성함양을 위한 교육과 양립할 수 없다. 본 논문에서 타일러의 모형에 대한 대안적 모형으로 제시하고 있는 심성함양모형은 메타프락시스라는 새로운 관점에 기초하고 있다. 메타프락시스에 기초한 사고방식은 수단목적관계에 입각한 사고방식과 정면으로 대비된다. 타일러의 모형에서와는 달리, 심성함양모형은 학생의 심성함양을 위한 실천을 교사 자신의 실천에 의하여 실천하고자 하는 교육활동의 ‘메타프락시스적 성격’을 여실하게 보여준다.
The aims of this article is to explore the alternative model of Tyler s Objective Model on curriculum. Tyler s Objective Model is inconsistent with Education for Cultivation of Mind , because Tyler s Model is founded on Means-End Connection in explaining the character of educational activity. Model of Cultivation of Mind that is proposed as the alternative of Tyler s Model in this article, is founded on the new paradigm of Metapraxis. The thought on the ground of Metapraxis is contrasted in front with the thought of Means-End Connection. Unlike Tyler s Objective Model , the Model of Cultivation of Mind is showing concretely the character of educational activity as Metapraxis that student s mind can be cultivated, be realized and be made only by the practice of the teacher itself.
