백워드 설계 관점에서 본 2015 개정 미술과 교육과정 분석 연구

A Analysis of 2015 Revised Art Curriculum based on Backward Design

기술의 발달과 사회적 변화는 교육에 대한 새로운 접근을 요구하였다. 단순히 아는 것에 그치는 것이 아니라 아는 것을 활용하고 새로운 상황에 적용할 수 있는 능력이 중요하게 되었다. 이러한 사회와 개인의 요구에 부응하기 위해 많은 나라들이 자국의 교육과정을 역량 중심으로 개편하였고 우리나라 역시 2015 개정 교육과정을 역량 중심 교육과정으로 전환하였다. 역량 중심 교육과정이 현장에 적용될 수 있도록 지원하기 위해 백워드 설계 방식과 그 철학이 2015 개정 교육과정에 반영되었다. 이에 2015 개정 미술과 교육과정을 백워드 설계의 관점에서 분석함으로써 교육 과정의 체계를 점검하고자 하였다. 연구 결과 2015 개정 미술과 교육과정에서 핵심 개념이 단어로 진술되어 있어 미술 교육을 통해 도달해야 할 궁극적 이해를 교사가 파악하기 용이하지 않다. 핵심 개념의 상위 항목으로 영속적 이해를 추가하면 미술 교육이 지향하는 방향을 보다 분명히 할 수 있다. 둘째 내용 체계에서 미술 교육에서 배워야 할 지식적 측면의 구조가 분명하지 않았다. 따라서 미술 교과를 통해 알아야 하는 명제적 지식의 구조를 개발하여 교육과정에 반영할 것을 제안하였다.

The development of technology and social change demanded a new approach to education. The ability to use what you know and apply to new situations has become important, not just knowing. In order to meet the needs of society and individuals, many countries have transformed their curriculum into competency based, and Korea also converted the 2015 revised curriculum into competency-based curriculum. In order to support the competency-based curriculum to be applied in the field, the Backward Design was reflected in the 2015 Revised Curriculum. Accordingly, 2015 Revised Art Curriculum is analyzed from the perspective of Backward Design to check the system of the curriculum focusing on content system. As a result of this study, it is necessary to add an enduring understanding to the 2015 Revised Art Curriculum. The core concepts in the curriculum are stated in words such as perception, communication, connection, so the understanding aimed at through art subject is not well revealed. Second, the structure of the knowledge that has to be learned in art subject is not clearly shown in the content system. Therefore, it is proposed to develop a structure of propositional knowledge that should be known through art subject and reflect it in the curriculum.
