한국화민예품 교육을 사랑한 송계선생의 생애사 연구

A Life History Research of Song-Gye who Loved Korean Painting-Folk Art Education

본 연구는 한국화민예품 교육에 열정을 쏟는 한 대학 교수의 생애를 추적함으로써 미술교육적 의미를 해석적으로 조명하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 연구자는 2019년 5월부터 9월까지 5개월간 연구 참여자와 5회의 대면 인터뷰를 진행하고 자료를 분석하였다. 생애사를 해석하면서 찾은 의미는 첫째, 인간의 타고난 위치는 예술정신이나 삶의 존재 의미를 형성하는 정신성의 기반이 된다. 학습자들은 삶의 위치에 존재하는 전통미술을 사회적, 문화적, 역사적 등 다양한 맥락과 연결지면서 자신의 존재를 새롭게 이해할 수 있다. 둘째, 인간은 호모 소키에스 즉 사회적 인간으로서 정체성의 변화를 이루며 존재 의미를 깨닫는다. 정체성은 사회적 위치, 역할 변화, 개인의 신념과 가치관, 통시적인 삶의 연속적 경험 위에서 변화를 이루고 형성된다. 그리하여 우리는 자신이 나고 자라난 위치에서 진정한 아름다움도 존재 의미와 정체성도 찾을 수 있다.

The purpose of this study is to illuminate the artistic education meaning analytically by tracing the life of a university professor who devoted his passion to the Korean painting-folk art education. To this end, the researcher conducted five face-to-face interviews with the participant from May to September 2019 and analyzed the data. The meanings found in the interpretation of his life history are as follows: First, the innate position of humans is the basis of the spirituality that forms the spirit of art and the existence of life. Learners reconstruct their existence by linking traditional art in their place of life with various contexts; social, cultural and historical. Second, humans realize the meaning of existence by changing their identity as Homo socies, viz. social humans. The identity of art educators is formed and changed based on social positions, individual beliefs and values, role changes, and continuous experiences of diachronic life. Therefor, we find true beauty, meaning of existence, and identity in the place where we were born and grew up.
