전지구화시대의 지역문화관광에 기반한 초등학교 다문화 미술교육의 방향에 대한 소고(小考)

A Study on the Direction of Multicultural Art Education in Elementary School based on Local Cultural Tourism During the Globalization Era

본 연구는 현(現) 전지구화시대에 지역문화관광에 얽힌 맥락적 특징을 살펴보고 초등학교 다문화 미술교육의 방향을 제안해보고자 하는 목적을 띈다. 본 연구는 전지구화 속 지역문화의 재현에 대한 이론 및 사례를 탐구한 후 초등학교 다문화 미술교육의 방향을 제안하고자 문헌연구를 연구 방법으로 취하였다. 연구결과, 동시대 지역의 문화가 재현되어 관광지에 나오게 되기까지에는 정치·경제적 요인이 복잡하게 작용하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구는 <맥락 탐구 지향 미술중심 융합 교육>을 기본 원리로 한 <지역기반 다문화 미술교육>을 제안하였다. 대안적 미술교육은 기념품과 같은 지역문화의 재현물과 전지구화를 다룬 예술가의 작품을 통해 학습자들이 지역문화의 재현물에 얽힌 문화적 복잡성과 모호함, 모순에 대해 탐구해보도록 하는 것을 교육목표로 한다. 이를 위하여 교육 내용은 교육매체에 깃든 맥락 파악에 중점을 두고, 교육방법은 조사·탐구학습과 미술 작품제작 및 비평을 실행할 것을 제안하였다. 본 연구는 초등미술교육에 관심있는 교사나 연구자들이 그들의 학생들이 장차 전지구화 속에서 지역문화를 보존, 확대, 계승하기 위해 취할 수 있는 방안과 역할에 대해 생각해볼 기회를 부여하게 될 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the contextual features of local cultural tourism in the globalization era and to suggest the direction of elementary school multicultural art education. This study explored the theories and examples of the representation of local culture in globalization and took literature review as a research method to propose the direction of elementary school multicultural art education. As a result of the research, it was found that political and economic factors are implicated in the local cultural representations that appeared in a tourist encountering site in the contemporary era. Based on this result, this study proposed <local based multicultural art education> based on <contextual inquiry oriented art centered convergence education> as a basic principle. The alternative art education suggested the work of an artist who dealt with globalization and the representation of local culture such as souvenirs as an educational medium. As an educational goal, I proposed that learners explore cultural complexities, ambiguities, and contradictions in the representation of local culture. I suggested that the educational content should be focused on the context of the educational medium. I proposed inquiry based learning and production and criticism of art works as an educational method in <local based multicultural art education>. This study will give teachers and researchers interested in elementary art education an opportunity to think about the ways and roles that their students can take to preserve, expand and inherit local culture in the globalization of the future.
