생태건축활동이 초등학생의 환경감수성에 미치는 영향

The influence of Ecological Architecture Activity on Environmental Sensitivity of Elementary school students

인간과 자연과의 공존에 대한 논의가 끊임없이 이루어지고 있는 현대 사회에서 생태건축의 중요성은 점차 높아지고 있다. 또한 이러한 사회 분위기에 따라 학교 현장에서 학생들에게 올바른 생태학적 가치관과 환경감수성을 길러줄 수 있는 환경교육의 중요성도 점차 커지고 있다. 환경감수성은 환경과 나 자신을 동일시하는 과정에서 환경의 시각으로 바라보고 느끼고, 환경의 입장에서 행동하는 것이다. 초등학교 학습자에게 이러한 환경감수성을 신장시키기 위하여 본 연구는 생태건축의 원리와 다양한 예시자료를 바탕으로 생태건축활동을 개발하고 학습자에게 적용하였다. 그 결과 학생들은 기쁨, 기대감, 두려움, 슬픔, 분노의 측면에서 환경감수성이 고루 향상된 것으로 나타났다.

The importance of ecological architecture is growing in a modern society where there is no end to discussion about coexistence with human and nature. In response to this social atmosphere, the importance of environmental education to foster the right ecological value and environmental sensitivity to students at school sites is also growing. Environmental sensitivity is looking and feeling from the perspective of the environment and acting from the perspective of the environment in the process of identifying the environment and myself. To enhance the environmental sensitivity of elementary school students, this study developed ecological architecture activities based on the principles of ecological architecture and used various examples, and applied them to elementary school students. The results showed that students have improved their environmental sensitivity in terms of pleasure, expectations, fear, sadness and anger, and also increased their convergent thinking.
