미술교육에서의 능력 고찰

A Research on the Competence in Art Education

한국에서는 최근 교육과정이 핵심역량 개념을 중심으로 개정되었다. 이전부터 능력이나 핵심역량 등의 용어가 자주 다루어져 교육계를 중심으로 사회전반에서 능력이 중시되어 온 것과 무관하지 않다. 이제 ‘학습 능력’이 학력 이외의 다른 능력으로 요구되는 것이다. 교과로서 미술과는 지금까지와 마찬가지로 앞으로도 지식기반사회에서 요구되는 혁신이나 문제 해결에 대응할 수 있는 자질과 능력의 육성에 불가결한 교과라는 것을 명확하게 할 필요가 있다. 그 주장의 바탕으로서 본 연구에서는 ‘능력’이란 무엇인가에 대해, 능력의 개요와 역사적 배경, 미술과에서의 ‘능력’ 개념과 그 본질에 대해 2015 개정 미술과 교육과정의 특징과 과제의 관점에서 살펴본다. 인지 차원과 비인지적 차원이 결합된 포스트모더니즘형 능력 개념은 지식과 기술 나아가 방법에 대한계층적이며 구조적인 접근에 대한 필요성의 재확인, 교과의 본질, 우리가 수업하는 것의 의미에 대한 반성적 질문을 제공할 수 있기 때문에 중요하다. 인간에 대한 접근 방식에서 측정 가능한 학습 성취와 평가라는 관점 및 교육에서 효율성 및 경제적 측면의중시, 표준화와 목표달성을 본질적 원리로 하는 능력 개념이, 교육과 도야, 창의성과감수성, 개인화와 다양화 등 인간의 삶과 교육의 궁극적 목적이나 의미와 어떻게 관계되고 구체화될 것인가와 관련하여 미술교육에서의 능력에 대해 본질적인 관점에서 논의가 필요하다.

This research is to consider 2015 national Art curriculum in Korea, especially about ‘Competence’ as direction of revision. It is a purpose to examine the change and direction. The purpose and the content of the art education have changed by descriptions of configurations, the content elements of key competencies, and key competencies themselves. The new national art curriculum is described as key competencies. This research on key competencies were analyzed. The viewpoint of the needs in the functional approach is needed. A lot of discussion of how to practice the power of technology in the educational process should be activated. We have to discuss about why we have the Competence, even more important with regard to the purpose and significance of the curriculum. It is necessary to discuss the relationship between performance measures embodied, for exemple efficiency, economy, standardization and goals to education, cultivation, creativity, sensitivity, personalization and diversification. Competency concept is important in the approach of the human. the need for knowledge, technic and methods because we can provide a reflective questions about the meaning of Art education.
