공감각(共感覺)적 체험을 활용한 색채교육 프로그램개발 연구

A Study of Color Education Program Development using Synesthesia Experience

미술교육을 통해 배우는 다양성과 감수성은 학문적 소양을 쌓는 것 이외에도 자기를표현할 수 있는 가능성을 배우는데 도움을 줄 수 있다. 특히 공감각을 활용한 색채교육은 우리의 뇌를 활성화시켜 지각 능력뿐만 아니라 융합적 사고능력과 조형능력을 길러준다. 이에 본고에서는 색채교육에 있어서 공감각 활용의 교육적 가치와 그 필요성을 논의하였다. 오늘날에는 다양한 분야와 융합할 수 있는 종합적인 사고력과 창의성을 갖춘 인재양성교육을 강조하고 있어 다양한 측면에서 사고할 수 있는 인지능력과상상력을 필요로 한다. 즉, 뇌 과학과 관련된 공감각과 심리적 효과를 지니고 있는 색(色)을 함께 교육하는 것은 다른 분야와의 융합뿐만 아니라 자신과 주변과의 관련성을이해하고, 실제 생활 속에서 색을 적절히 활용할 수 있는 능력을 길러줄 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 추상적 사고와 종합적 추리가 가능하게 되는 중학생을 대상으로 시각적활동을 전제로 한 가운데 시각 이외의 다른 감각들을 서로 통합하여 학생들이 감각과색의 기능을 이해하고 실질적으로 활용할 수 있는 공감각을 활용한 색채교육 프로그램을 제시하고자 한다.

Learning diversity and sensitivity by art education is chance to cultivate self-expression skill, as well as build knowledge. In particular color education using synesthesia vitalizes human brain, which consequentially improves perceptional ability, integrated thinking and artistic abilities. As the latest education curriculum is focused on develop comprehensive thinking and creativity connected to diverse field, cognition and imagination are required for flexible thinking in diverse fields. In other word, color education that teaches synesthesia related to brain science and color education with psychological effect is way to understand connectivity with one’s surrounding and nurture one’s ability to handle colors in reality, as well as integrating other fields. Hence, using synesthesia, this research is aimed to propose color education program that enables students to understand and utilize senses and colors, with practice of integrating 4 senses except for sense of sights, targeting junior high students who are said to conduct abstract thinking and combinatorial reasoning.
