파울 클레(Paul Klee)의 조형 교육 이론에 기초한 조형요소와 원리 교육에 대한 논의

A Discussion on the Education about Form Elements and Principal based on Paul Klee s Formative Theory

본고에서는 바우하우스에서 조형이론을 강의한 클레의 강의 노트 내용을 중심으로클레의 조형 교육 원리를 소개한다. 또한 대상이나 현상과 충분히 교감하여 감응을 불러일으키고 열정과 의지를 갖고 상상력의 운동 속에서 질적인 결합에 의해 물질을 변형하여 새로운 것을 생성하는 일련의 과정이 창의력 교육의 핵심이라고 주장하는 클레의 관점을 기초로 우리나라 현행 미술과 교육에서의 조형요소와 원리의 교육에 대해논의한다. 본고에서는 논의 결과로 학습자들이 대상의 형과 색을 탐색할 때 의지와 열정, 방향성 등을 결합하여 대상의 특성을 다중적인 의미와 성질이 내포된 변형된 이미지로 창조하도록 하는 조형요소와 원리 교육 방안을 다음과 같이 제안한다. 첫째, 학습자가 스스로 대상과 교감하면서 조형요소와 원리에 대한 개념을 형성하고 활용해보도록 하는 탐구 활동을 중심의 수업을 계획한다. 둘째, 조형요소와 원리를 놀이와 신체 활동이 포함된 체험 활동으로 감(感)을 형성하도록 한 다음 개념적으로 이해하도록해야 한다. 셋째, 미술과 수업에서 조형요소와 원리의 활용이 옵아트와 추상미술 관련내용으로 치우치는 것을 개선해야 한다.

This paper introduces the principles of formative education focusing on the lecture notes by Klee on the formative theory at Bauhaus. In addition, based on the Klee’s perspective arguing that a series of process to arouse the senses by sufficiently communicating with the objects or phenomena and create new things by transforming materials in the qualitative combination through the imaginative activities with passion and wills is the key to the education for creativity, this paper discusses the formative elements and principle education of the existing arts education in South Korea. As a result of the discussion, it suggests the following measures on the formative elements and principle education that combine wills, passion and directivity and make the characteristics of the objects into the converted image that contains multiple meanings and qualities when the learners explore the forms and colors of the objects. First, it is required to encourage the learners to have the senses of the formative elements and principles first through the experience activities including plays and physical activities and then understand the concept. Second, it is required to plan out the class focusing on the research activities where the learners can create and use the concepts on the formative elements and principles with repeated errors and mistakes by themselves. Third, it is required to improve that the use of the formative elements and principles in arts education does not lean to the op art and abstract art.
