진경산수가 가지는 미술교육적 가치

The Values of Jinkyoung Landscape Paintings in Art Education: Focused on Illustrations found in the Elementary Third-Fourth Grade Art Textbooks

본 연구의 목적은 초등 3-4학년 미술교과서에 나타난 도판을 중심으로 진경산수가가지는 미술교육적 가치를 밝히는 것이다. 진경산수는 미술교과에서 전통회화 교육내용으로서 비중이 크다. 그러나 교육내용을 분석해보면, 학생들이 진경산수를 제대로이해하는데 한계가 있다. 학생들은 미술과 교육과정에서 진경산수의 미술교육적 가치를 재인식할 필요가 있다. 이를 위해 조선후기 회화사와 화론을 검토하였는데, 학생들에게 의미 있는 진경산수의 미술교육적 가치들을 발견하였다. 첫째, 진경산수는 한국회화사적 가치인 ‘한국 문화의 정체성’을 담고 있다. 이는 학생들이 자신의 정체성을인식하고, 문화를 재해석하며 형성시킬 수 있는 근간이 된다. 둘째, 진경산수는 ‘자신만의 창의적인 화법 표출’이라는 미학적 가치를 가진다. 이로서 학생들이 자신의 삶과미술활동에서 창의성을 발현시킬 수 있도록 격려하게 된다. 셋째, 진경산수는 새로운미술과 교수·학습 방법에 근거를 제공한다. 학생들은 교과 융합의 미술수업을 통해진경산수를 다른 차원으로 이해할 수 있다. 그리하여 진경산수가 가지는 미술교육적가치는 학생들에게 깨달음을 준다. 학생들 자신과 삶은 고유한 것이며, 자신이 바라보는 세상은 언제든 독창적으로 해석할 수 있는 미술적 대상이라는 사실이다. 즉, 전통미술문화에 대한 학생들의 일상적 통찰은 가치가 있다는 것이다.

The purpose of this study is revealing the art educational values ofJinkyoung landscape paintings outlined in the 2009 revised elementary thirdand fourth grade art textbooks. Jinkyoung landscape paintings take greaterproportion in the art curriculum as a traditional painting educationalcontent. However, it shows that there is a limit to fully understandJinkyoung landscape paintings to the students when the educationalcontents are analysed. Students need to have a new understanding about theart educational values of Jinkyoung landscape paintings in the artcurriculum. In order to hold it, this study examined the painting history andthe painting theory in late Joseon dynasty and found the art educationalvalues of Jinkyoung landscape paintings for the students. Firstly, Jinkyounglandscape paintings include a Korean painting history value, ‘Koreancultural identity’. This could be a basis for realizing self identity, holdingand forming cultural new understanding to the students. Secondly,Jinkyoung landscape paintings have the aesthetic value of ‘creativeexpression of their own drawing techniques’. Therefor, this encouragesstudents to be able to express their lives and creativity through artactivities. Thirdly, Jinkyoung landscape paintings provide a basis for a newart teaching and learning method. Students enable to understand Jinkyounglandscape paintings in a different dimension of the art class as a subjectVol. 39- 94 -blending. Consequently the art educational values of Jinkyoung landscape paintingscould let students find enlightenment. Students themselves and their livesare innate. The world they are watching is their artistic subject and it couldbe interpreted creatively. That is, students’ daily insights possess values.
