삶 속의 다문화 미술교육과 미학적 접근방안

An Aesthetic Approach to Multicultural Art Education in Life

본 논문의 목적은 삶 속에서 의미를 창출하고 실천되어질 수 있는 다문화 미술교육의 방안을 미학적 접근을 통하여 모색하는 데 있다. 이를 위하여 먼저 삶과 유리되어진 지식이론 중심의 다문화 미술교육의 한계를 진단하고 문화적 정체성, 다문화 속에서 공존하는 타자와의 유기적인 연대 문제, 문화적 역량 강화와 관련된 문제들을 통하여 삶 속에서 삶과 연계되어진 다문화 미술교육의 의미를 살펴보았다. 나아가 근대 미학의 철학적 인식론에 머물러 있었던 미학적 접근방식의 경계를 확장하여 우리의 삶속에서 우리가 통합적으로 지각하는 모든 방식을 통해서 삶을 재구성하고 실천적 역량을 기를 수 있는 미학적 접근방안을 모색하였다. 마지막으로 보다 실질적인 접근이 되도록 하기 위하여 구체적이고 실천적인 미학적 접근방법을 제시함으로써 향후 계속적인 연구를 촉진할 수 있도록 하였다.

The purpose of this study is to explore aesthetic approaches for multicutural art education in life in order to enable students to engage in meaningful creation of lived experiences and to practice these in their everyday lives. For this purpose, this study examines the limitation of mulicultural art education which has been practiced in classrooms based on the abstract theory and the meaning of multicultural art education for real life through the issues of cultural identity, organic solidarity with others who coexist in multicultural societies, and cultural competency. Moreover, this inquiry diagnoses the critical points of aesthetic approaches centering on theoretical knowledge in modernism and investigates aesthetic approaches which enable students to reconstruct their life and cultivate practical abilities through the method which we perceive in integrative and collaborative ways. Finally, providing the examples of aesthetic approaches in this study guides further research and puts it into practice.
