쉴러(F. Schiller)의 미적 교육론 함의

Schiller s Implication of Aesthetic Education Thought: With Focus on Aesthetic Letters(Über die ästhetische Erziehung des Menschen in einer Reihe von Briefen)

이 연구는 쉴러의 인간의 미적 교육을 위한 편지 를 중심으로 미적교육적 함의를탐구하는 연구이다. 쉴러는 미적 편지 에서 미적 교육의 타당성을 논의하였고 그의주장을 정당화시키기 위해 몇 가지 미적 교육의 방향을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 쉴러가제시한 미적 교육의 방향이 현재 우리 미적 교육에도 시사점을 줄 수 있다고 판단하고있으며 그 방향이 현재에도 유효하다고 생각된다. 그래서 본 연구는 쉴러의 미적 교육을 바탕으로 현재 우리 미적 교육에 시사하는 교육적 함의를 찾아내었다. 첫째는 전인교육으로서 인간교육을 강조했다는 점이고, 둘째는 인간교육을 위한 미적 교육의 가치를 강조했다는 점이며, 셋째는 인간교육을 위한 미적 교육의 지침을 제공했다는 점이고, 넷째는 이전의 미적 교육과는 다른 미적 교육의 통합적 성격을 제시했다는 점이다.

The purpose of this study is to find educational implication of Schiller s Letters Upon The Aesthetic Education of Man by studying it. The reason why Schiller s Aesthetic Letters was chosen as a representative writing of aesthetic education is its unique characteristics. In ancient societies, it was emphasized that aesthetic education had a great influence on cultivating an upright character, and it had enough educational value. However, scholars from the East and West underscored the importance of aesthetic education by incorporating it into general education instead of developing it into an independent study. Schiller, however, offered the importance and ways of aesthetic education in Aesthetic Letters by separating it from the general education. This is why the educational value of his Aesthetic Letters is important. This study found its educational implication as the following by analyzing Aesthetic Letters . First, it underlined human education as the education for the whole man, second, it underscored the value of aesthetic education for human education and third, it offered guidelines for aesthetic education for human education.
