만 2세 영아반 보육교사가 경험하는 실외놀이 실행의 어려움과 해결 방안

Difficulties and solutions for outdoor play practice of childcare teachers of 2-year-old children

본 연구는 어린이집 실외놀이 실행 과정에서 만 2세 영아반 보육교사가 경험하는 어려움에 대해살펴보고 해결 방안을 모색하여 어린이집 영아반 실외놀이 활성화를 위한 기초자료를 제시하는데 목적이있다. 이를 위하여 만 2세 영아반 보육교사 11명을 대상으로 심층면담을 통해 자료를 수집하여 반복적비교분석법에 의해 분석하였다. 연구결과 1. 만 2세 영아반 보육교사들이 실외놀이를 실행하는 과정에서경험하는 어려움은 첫째는 안전에 대한 우려이며 둘째는 교육과정 운영의 어려움, 셋째는 부모의 인식과요구 넷째는 물리적 공간 문제 다섯째는 기후 환경으로 인한 어려움이었다. 2. 실외놀이 어려움에 대한 해결방안으로 첫째는 보조인력 투입이며 둘째는 교사교육 및 전문성 개발, 셋째는 부모교육 및 소통, 넷째는 지역사회환경의 활용, 다섯째는 대체활동 개발 운영을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 실외놀이의 운영에 대한 만 2세 영아반보육교사들이 경험한 어려움을 진단하고 실행가능한 해결방안을 모색하여 실외놀이가 더욱 활성화 될 수있는 시사점을 제공하는데 연구의 의의가 있다.

This study purposed to provide basic data for childcare teachers’ support of outdoor play in childcare centers. It explored the difficulties experienced by childcare teachers of 2-year-old children during their implementation of outdoor play time in the centers. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with 11 childcare teachers of 2-year-old children and analyzed through a constant comparative method. The findings of the study were as follows. The difficulties experienced by the participants during the outdoor play time were concerns on safety, difficulties in managing the curriculum, the difficulties in accepting parents’ needs, limitation of physical space, and difficulties due to climatic and environmental issues. The solutions to difficulties of outdoor play that teachers’ suggested were provision of assistant teachers, development of teacher training program for supporting children’s outdoor play, communication with parents, utilization of the community environments, and the development and operation of alternative activities. This study is meaningful in providing important implications for childcare teachers’ effective management of outdoor play time by analyzing difficulties experienced by 2-year-old childcare teachers and exploring the workable solutions.
