The Role of Museum Education in the Korean Private Museums : Focusing on the Social Inclusion

박물관의 사회적 역할은 증대되어야 하며, 박물관은 사회적 포용성을 증진하는 문화공간이어야 한다. 박물관의 포용성은 유물수집과 보존에서 사회 구성원의 삶이 담긴 유·무형 유물을 유물수집과 보존의 대상으로 포함하는 것에서 시작해야 한다. 박물관 교육에서도 사회구성원이 직접 참여하게 하야 한다. 한국 사립박물관의 교육 프로그램의 사례를 통해 사회적 포용성이 발현되기 위한 제언을 하였다. 첫째, 박물관 경영 기반 마련과 박물관 CEO를 육성하는 계기를 마련하는 바람이다. 둘째, 문화배려사업과 문화보은 사업을 운영하여야 한다. 문화배려사업은 문화를 제 때에 접할 수 없는 사회구성원들을 대상으로 박물관에서 문화 활동에 참여케 하는 사업이며, 문화보은사업은 지역사회에서 열심히 일하는 사람들에게 문화적 보상하는 것이다.

The social role of museum should be increased and it should increase the social inclusion. Social inclusion should start from the tangible and intangible collections which include the life of the communities. And community members should participate in the museum education. I gave suggestions for the Korean private museums in the case of museum education. First, I suggest providing the museum management bases and fostering the museum CEO. Second, Museum should manage the cultural care project and cultural requital project. Cultural care project is for the community members who can not get the cultural asset in proper ways, cultural requital project is give them some cultural compensations.
