시각장애인의 미술 작품 감상 시 정보 획득 요구 분석

Analysis of the Needs of People with Visual Impairments to Acquire Information When Appreciating an Artwork

연구목적: 본 연구는 시각장애인과 비시각장애인이 미술 작품 감상 시 작품과 관련하여 추가로 알고 싶은 정보 유형은 무엇인지 요구를 분석한다. 특히, 시각장애인은 선천적 전맹인, 후천적 전맹인, 저시력인 그룹으로 분류하고 그룹별 그 요구를 분석한다. 연구방법: 온라인 환경에서 오디오 해설 또는 시각적 자료를 통해 미술 작품을 감상한 시각장애인, 비시각장애인 연구참여자를 대상으로 반구조화 면접을 수행하였다. 연구결과: 시각장애인은 작품 내 소재들의 구체적인 배치정보, 형태 및 색감의 묘사에 대한 요구가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 비시각장애인은 해당 정보들에 대한 요구가 거의 없거나 전혀 없는 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 다른 정보 유형에 비해 작가의 의도와 관련한 정보에 대한 요구가 높게 나타났다. 결론: 본 연구는 인공지능 도슨트 개발 시 음성 답변을 디자인하는 데 활용될 수 있다.

Purpose: In this study, what type of information people with visual impairments and sight wanted to know was investigated when they appreciated an artwork. In particular, people with visual impairments were classified into people with congenital, acquired visual impairments, and partial vision, the needs of each group was examined. Method: Semi-structured interviews were conducted for the participants with visual impairments and sight who enjoyed artwork through audio explanations and visual materials, respectively, in an online environment. Results: People with visual impairments had high demands for detailed arrangement, shape, and color description of elements of the artwork. However, people with good eyesight have little or no need for them, but they have high demands, especially for an artist s purposes to produce the artwork. Conclusion: This study can be used to guide the design of voice responses when developing AI docents.
