평가염려완벽주의, 행동억제, 외상경험이 대학생의 사회불안에 미치는 영향

The influence of Evaluative Concern Perfectionism, Behavioral inhibition and Traumatic Experience on Social Anxiety of University Students

본 연구는 대학생들을 대상으로 평가염려완벽주의, 행동억제, 외상경험이 사회불안에 미치는 영향을 탐색하고자 시도되었다. 이를 위해 광주·전남 지역의 대학생 300명을 대상으로 사회불안, 평가염려완벽주의, 행동억제, 외상경험에 대한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 본 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 평가염려완벽주의, 행동억제, 외상경험과 사회불안에 대한 Pearson 상관분석결과, 모든 변인과 하위요인 간에 유의한 상관이 나타났다. 둘째, 평가염려완벽주의, 행동억제와 외상경험의 사회불안에 대한 다중회귀분석 결과 모두 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 평가염려완벽주의, 행동억제, 외상경험 중 사회불안 예측요인에 대한 단계적 회귀분석 결과 상대적 효과는 차이를 보였으나 세요인 모두 유의하였다. 넷째, 평가염려완벽주의, 행동억제 외상경험의 하위요인 중 사회불안 예측의 하위요인에 대한 단계적 회귀분석 결과 실수에 대한염려, 수줍음, 사회적회피, 대인관계관련외상경험, 수행에 대한의심, 사회부과완벽주의, 단순공포가 사회불안을 예측하는 주요 하위요인으로 밝혀졌다. 본 연구의 함의는 평가염려완벽주의, 행동억제, 외상경험의 하위요인들이 사회불안에 미치는 요인들을 단계적으로 밝혀냄으로써 사회불안에 관한 선행연구들을 확장시켰으며, 또한 사회불안에 미치는 심리적인 특성을 이해하고 상담 및 치료에 대한 방향성을 제시했다는 점이다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 연구에 대한 제한점과 추후연구에 대한 제언을 제시하였다.

This study attempted to explore the effects of evaluative concern perfectionism, behavioral inhibition and traumatic experience on social anxiety in university students. To that end, a survey was conducted on 300 university students in Gwangju and Jeollanam-do on social anxiety, evaluative concern perfectionism, behavioral inhibition and traumatic experience. The results of this study are as follows. First, Pearson s correlation analysis of valuation evaluative concern perfectionism, behavioral inhibition and traumatic experience and social anxiety showed a significant correlation between all variables and sub-factors. Second, the results of the multi-regression analysis on evaluation perfectism, behavioral inhibition, and social anxiety in trauma experience all had significant effects. Third, the step-by-step regression of social anxiety predictors in the evaluative concern perfectionism, behavioral inhibition and traumatic experience showed a difference in their relative effects, but all three factors were noted. Fourth, a step-by-step regression analysis of the lower factors of social anxiety prediction among the sub-factors of assessment-induced evaluative concern perfectionism, behavioral inhibition and traumatic experience found that social anxiety about mistakes, shyness, social avoidance, interpersonal trauma experience, suspicion of performance, sociopathic perfectionism, and simple fear of social unrest are the major sub-factors of predicting social unrest. The implication of this study is that the sub-factors of evaluation concern perfectionism, behavioral inhibitions, and traumatic experience have expanded the prior studies on social unrest by gradually revealing the factors on social unrest, and also understanding the psychological characteristics on social unrest and presenting directions for counseling and treatment. Based on these findings, limitations on research and suggestions for further research were presented.
