시간제 보육교사의 교사효능감이 직무만족도에 미치는 영향

The Effect of Part-time Childcare Teachers’ Teacher Efficacy on Job Satisfaction: The Mediating Effect of Communication Ability

본 연구에서는 시간제보육교사를 대상으로 교사효능감이 의사소통능력을 매개로 직무만족도에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 연구대상은 시간제보육을 실시하는 국공립, 민간, 사회복지법인, 가정 및 직장어린이집과 육아종합지원센터에 재직하고 있는 6개월 이상∼36개월 미만의 영아를 담당하는 전국의 시간제보육교사 195명이다. 교사효능감, 의사소통능력, 직무만족도 척도를 사용하여 자료를 수집하였고, 자료분석에는 빈도분석, Pearson의 상관분석과 매개효과분석이 사용되었다. 분석 결과 첫째. 시간제보육교사의 연령과 근무경력에 따른 교사효능감, 의사소통능력, 직무만족도는 유의한 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 시간제보육교사의 교사효능감, 의사소통능력, 직무만족도 간에는 서로 정적인 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 시간제보육교사의 의사소통능력은 교사효능감과 직무만족도의 관계를 완전매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 본 연구의 결과는 시간제보육교사의 직무만족도를 향상시키는 프로그램개발을 위한 기초자료로서 활용될 수 있다.

This study investigated the effects of part-time childcare teachers’ teacher efficacy on job satisfaction and the mediating effect of communication ability. Online and mobile questionnaires were distributed, and data from 195 part-time childcare teachers in charge of infants aged 6∼36 months were analyzed using frequencies, Pearson correlations and mediating effect analyses. The results of this study were as follows: First, there were significant differences in teacher efficacy, communication ability, and job satisfaction according to part-time childcare teachers’ age and work experience. Second, statistically significant correlations existed among part-time childcare teachers’ teacher efficacy, communication ability, and job satisfaction. Third, the mediating effect of communication ability was found in the relationship between part-time childcare teachers’ teacher efficacy and job satisfaction. That is, teacher efficacy did not have a direct impact on job satisfaction, but it had an indirect impact on it through communication ability. The results of this study provide the baseline data to develop a training program for job satisfaction, teacher efficacy and communication ability of part-time childcare teachers.
