학생들의 통일의식의 현황분석 연구

Analysis of the current status of students unification consciousness

본 연구는 학생들의 학교 급별로 통일의식의 현황진단을 통해 학교 통일교육의 활성화를 위한 정보를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 설정한 연구문제는 학생들의 학교 급별 통일의식의 인식에 어떠한 차이가 있는가? 위의 연구문제에 답하기 위해 수도권 지역 초, 중, 고등학교 남녀학생과 대학생 및 대학원생, 그리고 학군사관후보생(ROTC) 등 총 1,000명을 대상으로 설문조사를 통하여 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료를 분석하여 얻게 된 연구결과는 연구문제와 관련하여 다음과 같은 다양한 현상을 발견하였다. 첫째, 통일에 대한 인식을 분석한 결과 학생들은 전체적으로 남북통일이 필요하다고 하였으며, 통일을 서두르기보다 여건이 성숙되기를 기다려야 한다는 응답이 많았다. 그리고 남북한 통일 가능 시기에 대한 인식은 ‘20년 이내’에 가능하다는 응답이 가장 많았고, 반면 ‘불가능하다’는 응답도 12.4%가 있었다. 둘째, 통일후의 변화에 대한 인식을 분석한 결과 통일이 남한에 이익이 되는 정도는 이익이 될 것이라는 응답(68.5%)이 많았다. 그리고 통일이 자신에게 이익이 되는 정도는 이익이 되지 않을 것이라는 응답이 53.9%로 나타났으며, 통일 후 사회문제 개선 정도에 대한 인식에서 실업문제는 개선될 것이라는 반응이 다소 높게 나타났으나, 이념 및 지역갈등 범죄 문제 등은 다소 악화될 것이라는 반응을 많이 보였다.

The purpose of this study is to provide information for the vitalization of school unification education by looking at the present condition diagnosis of unification education that schools offer and how students perceive their perceptions of unification according to their classes. what kind of difference is there between each classes perception of their perceptions of unification. Surveys were collected from 1000 students, including those who attended elementary, middle, co-ed high schools, college, university, and cadets near the capital. By connecting the research result that came from analyzing the data and the research problems, the following various phenomenons were found. First, the result of analyzing the perception of the awareness of unification was that the students as a whole agreed the reunification of the North and South aree needed, and many answered that instead of rushing into the reunification, we need to wait until the situation is right. Meanwhile, many students did not deem the evacuation of American soldiers urgent. Second, the result of analyzing the perception of the changes before and after the reunification showed that many answered reunification would be beneficial to South Korea (68.5%), and 53.9% answered that the reunification would not be beneficial to themselves.
