인공지능 스피커를 활용한 상호작용이 지적장애 학생의 의사소통의도와 화용론적 특성에 미치는 영향

The Effect of Interaction Using Artificial Intelligence Speakers on Communication Intention and Pragmatic Characteristics of Students with Intellectual Disabilities

본 연구는 AI 스피커를 활용한 상호작용이 지적장애 학생의 의사소통의도와 화용론적 특성에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 한 것이다. 본 연구는 지적장애학교 고등학생 3명을 대상으로 AI 스피커 ‘카카오 미니’를 활용한 상호작용 장면에서 구어를 기준으로 사전검사 4회기, 자료수집기간 6회기 동안의 영상 자료를 수집하여 의사소통의도 산출 빈도와 AI 스피커의 정반응률, 그리고 언어적, 비언어적 의사소통 모두를 포함한 화용적 특성을 분석하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, AI 스피커를 활용했을 때 의사소통의도 산출 빈도는 활용 전보다 활용 후에 증가하였다. 둘째, 자료 수집 기간 초기에는 적극적으로 의사소통의도를 산출하였고, 행동 요구, 반복하기, 자기 생각 진술, 명료화 요구 등의 의사소통의도 유형이 나타났다. 회기가 거듭될수록 AI 스피커의 정반응률이 높은 참여자는 의사소통의도 산출 빈도가 증가하였지만 그렇지 않은 참여자는 변화가 나타나지 않았다. 이와 같은 결과를 바탕으로 지적장애학생 대상의 AI 스피커를 활용한 상호작용 효과와 AI 스피커 활용에서 구어 중심 의사소통의 제한점에 대해 논의하였고, AI 스피커의 교육적 활용을 위한 기술적 보완과 필요성, 향후 연구 방향 등에 대해 제언하였다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of interaction using AI speakers on students with intellectual disabilities on their communication intentions and pragmatic characteristics. The participants in this study were 3 high school students at schools with intellectual disabilities. For them, the AI speaker Kakao Mini was used to collect video data for 4 pre-tests and 6 periods of data collection period based on the spoken language in the interactive scene using the AI speaker Kakao Mini to analyze the frequency of communication calculation, the response rate of the AI speaker, and the chemical characteristics including both linguistic and nonverververic communication. As a result of the study, first, As a result of the study, first, when the AI speaker was used, the frequency of calculating communication intention increased after the use than before. Second, at the beginning of the data collection period, the communication intention was positively calculated, and the types of communication intention such as action demand, repetition, self-thought statement, and clarification demand appeared. However, as the sessions continued, participants with higher positive response rates of AI speakers increased the frequency of communication intention calculations, but participants who did not do so did not change. Based on these results, we discussed the effects of interacting with AI speakers for students with intellectual disabilities and the limitations of language-centric communication, discussed technical complements and the need for ai speakers to use education, and set out future research direction.
