중학생의 사회적 위축이 스마트폰 의존도에 미치는 영향

The effects of social withdrawal on the dependence of smartphones in middle school students: Focusing on the mediated effect of academic helplessness

본 연구의 목적은 중학생이 지각하는 사회적 위축이 스마트폰 의존도에 미치는 영향에서 학업무기력의 매개효과를 살펴보고자 하였다. 본 연구의 대상은 한국청소년정책연구원의 한국아동·청소년패널조사 2018의 데이터 가운데 제2차년도(2018) 중학교 1학년 데이터를 사용하였으며, 전국의 중학교 1학년 총 2,547명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 변인들간 상관관계 분석 결과 사회적 위축, 학업무기력, 스마트폰 의존도 간 정적 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 중학생이 지각하는 사회적 위축이 스마트폰 의존도에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다. 셋째, 중학생이 지각하는 학업무기력이 스마트폰 의존도에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 사회적 위축이 스마트폰 의존도에 미치는 영향에서 학업무기력이 부분 매개효과가 있음이 검증되었다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the mediated effects of academic helplessness in the impact of the perceived social withdrawal on smartphone dependence. Among the data from the Korea Youth Policy Institute s 2018 Korea Children and Youth Panel Survey, the data for the first year of middle school in the second year (2018) were used, and a total of 2,547 first-year middle school students across the country were studied. The results of the study are as follows. First, the analysis of correlation between variables revealed positive correlation between social withdrawal, academic helplessness, and dependence on smartphones. Second, the social withdrawal in which middle school students are tardy is a factor that affects their dependence on smartphones. Third, the academic helplessness of middle school students to be late for school was a factor that affected the dependence of smartphones. Finally, it has been verified that academic helplessness, has a partial mediating effect in the impact of social withdrawal on smartphone dependency.
