초등미술교육에서 ‘다색판화’의 문제점과 개선방안

Problems and Improvement of ‘Multicolored Printmaking’ in Elementary Art Education : Focusing on the Art Textbook of the 7th Curriculum

초등미술교육에서 다색판화는 비중있게 배려되었음에도 불구하고, 현장 교사와 학생들이 표현활동에서 많은 어려움을 느끼고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 어려움을 개선하기 위한 시도로서 구체적으로 초등현장의 ‘다색판화’의 문제점을 검토하고, 실제적이고 현실적인 개선방안을 제시하여 초등교육에 적절한 다색판화의 내용과 기법을 모색하려는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 첫째. 우리나라 초등학교 6학년 미술교과서의 단원 ‘다색판화’의 내용을 정리하고, 다색판화 지도에 따른 운영 실태를 광주 전남에 거주하는 초등학교 교사들에게 설문조사하였다. 둘째. 단원 ‘다색판화’의 내용과 수집한 설문자료를 종합분석하고, 우리나라 초등학교 6학년 미술교과서의 단원 ‘다색판화’의 문제점을 구체적인 미술활동 면에서 검토하였다. 셋째. 이를 기초로 다색판화지도의 개선방안을 제시하여 3개 초등학교 학생에게 적용하였다. 그 결과, 우리나라 초등미술교육에서 다색판화의 문제점에 따른 개선방안을 통해 실천적인 초등미술교과서와 교사용지도서의 집필을 위한 다색판화 교수학습방법의 고려해야 될 방향을 이끌어낼 수 있었다.

Even though ‘multicolored printmaking’ is considered significantly in elementary art education, teachers and students have difficulty in expressing it. The purpose of this study is to examine a problem of ‘multicolored printmaking’ in the educational field and try to improve the problem. Also this study pursues a practical and realistic improvement to find out appropriate contents and techniques of ‘multicolored printmaking’ for elementary education. For the accomplishment of these purposes, first, this study examined the unit of ‘multicolored printmaking’ of art textbook in the 6th grade in Korean elementary schools and conducted a survey on ‘multicolored printmaking’ teaching operation to elementary school teachers residing in Gwangju and Jeonnam province. Second, this study synthesized and analyzed the unit of ‘multicolored printmaking’ and collected the survey results. In addition, this study reviewed the problem of the unit in the aspect of a concrete art activity. Finally, the researcher proposed improvement and applied them to students in 3 elementary schools and recorded their artworks, observation notes, appreciation logs as applied cases. In consequence, it was possible to induce a direction of teaching ‘multicolored printmaking’ for practical elementary art textbook and teachers’ guide through the study.
