자연색 체험에 기초한 조형놀이 심상표현 - 지도방안의 개발 및 적용 연구

A study on the image expression using plastic play based on natural color experience : Development and application of Teaching Method

이 연구는, 현장교사연계 공동연구를 통해 초등 미술교육의 색채지도에 관한 문제점을 진단하고, 조형놀이 개념의 새로운 자연색채 체험활동에 기초한 다양한 심상표현 지도방안을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이에 본 연구에서는, 교사 및 아동들을 대상으로 색 체험(color experience)에 관한 설문지 조사 및 분석을 행하였다. 이를 바탕으로, 초등학교 중학년과 고학년을 대상으로 ‘자연색 체험에 기초한 조형놀이 심상표현’의 3단계에 걸친 지도방안을 개발하여 초등미술교육현장에 적용·실시하였다. 그 결과, 학생들은 자연과의 교감, 창의적 표현방법의 확장, 색에 대한 흥미도와 표현력 신장, 다양한 미술재료에 대한 탐구심과 실험정신의 향상, 정서치유의 효과, 집중력과 사회성, 협동심·소통능력의 배양, 그리고 타인에 대한 배려심과 감상능력의 향상 등 통합적 연구 성과를 거둘 수 있었다. 다양한 지도방안을 통한 ‘자연색 체험에 기초한 조형놀이를 통한 심상표현활동’은 현대 아동들에게, 감성을 풍요롭게 회복시켜주고 창조적 표현력을 신장시켜주는 유효한 색채교수·학습방법의 하나로서 그 가능성이 자못 크다.

The purpose of this study is to diagnose the limits of teaching color in an elementary school art education, and to suggest the instructional methods on the diverse image expression using plastic play based on natural color experience. This study was conducted by the cooperative works with the elementary school teachers. For the accomplishment of the purpose suggested, the researchers have devised a survey on color experience of teachers and children. Based on the data analysis, three phase instructional methods on the image expression using plastic play based on natural color experience were developed. The methods was implemented by high grade- and low grade children of the elementary school. The findings are summarized as follows: ① amazing experience corresponding with the nature, ② strengthening the power of recognizing the preciousness of the nature, ③ enlargement of creative expressional methods, using diverse art materials and devices, ④ experiencing the emotional treatment, ⑤ expanding the degree of interest on the color, ⑥ increasing new attempt to investigate the art materials, ⑦ strengthening the power of concentration, ⑧ increasing the capability of sociality, cooperation, communication, concern with others, and appreciation. In conclusion, the study supports that the art activities of the adolescents(lived in a competitive society and harsh minded) based on natural color experiences are effective to increasing the power of creative expression and rehabilitating aesthetic susceptibility.
