한국 근대에 있어서 임화교육의 제도와 실황

The System and the Reality of “Ringa” Education in the Modern Times in Korea: Throught the view of the educational system, textbooks, and the contributed articles in the magazines published by “Chosen Kyoiku-kai”

본 연구는 도화과 교육제도 및 교과서에서 보는 임화교육의 모습과, 교사들의 투고기사에 나타난 임화교육의 모습을 서로 비교하여, 임화교육의 실제의 모습을 밝히는 데에 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 교육제도 및 교과서의 내용에서 임화교육의 도입, 발전, 쇠퇴의 모습을 고찰하며, 또한 교육제도 및 교과서, 교사들의 투고기사의 내용을 종합적으로 비교해서 임화교육의 도입, 발전, 쇠퇴의 모습을 고찰하였다. 그 결과, 교육과정 및 교과서의 내용에 준해서만 본다면, 임화교육의 도입은 1895-1906년이 되며, 임화교육의 발전은 제2차 교육과정이 끝나는 1906-1938년까지가 되며, 임화교육의 쇠퇴는 제3-4차 조선교육령기에 해당되는 1938-45년이 된다. 이처럼 교육제도만을 가지고 보았을 때, 임화교육은 44년(1906-1938년)에 걸쳐서 중심교재로서 교수되었다는 것이 된다. 하지만 투고기사의 내용까지 포함해서 종합적으로 본다면, 임화교육의 도입은 1895-1906년이 되며, 발전은 1906-1920년이 되며, 쇠퇴는 1920-45년이 된다. 투고기사에 나타난 교사들의 주장이 당시 학교현장의 미술 교육의 상황을 말해준다면, 임화교육의 도입은 1895-1906년으로, 발전은 1906-1920년으로, 쇠퇴는 1920-1945년으로 판단하는 것이 타당하다고 본다.

The purpose of this study is for revealing the true appearance of the “Ringa” education by comparing the educational system and the “Ringa” education in the text book to the other one showed on the contribution of the teachers. For this, the introduction, developing, and decline of the “Ringa” education in the educational system and the textbook have been observed. The curriculum and the textbook, the contents of the contribution of the teachers have been generally observed as well. As a result, based upon the curriculum and the contents of the textbook, the introduction of the “Ringa” was 1895-1906, developing period was 1906-1938 in which the 2nd curriculum ended, the decline was 1938-1945 that corresponded to the 3rd, or 4th of the Korean Educational Period. Like this, only seen through the educational system, the “Ringa” education had been taught for 44 years(1906-1938) as a main teaching material. However, including the contents of the contribution and look in to it in integration, the introductory period of “Ringa” was 1895-1906, developing period was 1906-1920, and the decline period was 1929-1945. If the claims of the teachers on the contribution had spoken of the circumstance of the school field, it is rightful to say that introductory of “Ringa” was 1895-1906, for developing 1906-1920, decline period was 1920-1945.
