A Study on a Worksheet Development Process for School- Connected Museum and Gallery Learning

학교연계 박물관·미술관 학습 프로그램은 박물관이나 미술관 자체에서 프로그램을 개발하고 운영하는 경우와 교사가 박물관이나 미술관을 활용하여 학생들에게 미적체험 학습을 교사가 직접 지도하는 경우로 나누어 볼 수 있다. 현재 대부분의 박물관이나 미술관 학습이 셀프가이드 방문으로 이루어지고 있는 현실에서 학생들의 흥미와 관심을 유발하고 의미 있는 학습이 일어나기 위해서는 질 높은 워크시트가 제공되어야 한다. 워크시트 개발 시 유의 사항으로는 첫째, 학습자의 수준에 맞게 작성되어야 한다. 둘째, 전시물의 핵심적인 내용을 담아야한다 .셋째, 교육과정과 연계하여 작성되어야 한다. 박물관이나 미술관을 갈 때 마다 즉흥적으로 제작하는 워크시트가 아니라, 체험학습을 내실화하는데 도움이 되는 프로세스를 통한 질 높은 워크시트 개발이 요구된다. 견학학습을 갈 때마다 제작하는 형식적인 워크시트가 아니라, 질 높은 워크시트를 제작하기 위해서는 워크시트를 개발하는 프로세스가 필요하다. 이에 따라, 워크시트의 개발 프로세스 모형을 제시하고, 그 모형의 진행과정을 교육대상 선정, 제재 및 주제선정, 자료수집 및 소장품분석, 워크시트 형식결정, 워크시트 작성, 평가 및 수정보완으로 제시하였다.

School-connected museum and gallery learning is very meaningful in that it provides the students with ample opportunities to first-hand see, feel, understand and experience authentic works and to grow to possess cultural citizenship in the age of culture in the 21st century. In Korea, field study is mostly done in the self-guide approach rather than the guide-accompanied one, and there is a good reason for that; since hundreds of students in the same grade usually visit a museum at a time, it s impossible for the few education staff of the museum or volunteering docents to guide them throughout their watching. There rises a need for a worksheet, which will help the students appreciate and understand the artifacts better. It s also important for the students to use one in an efficient manner. In order to make a high quality worksheet instead of a formal impromptu one made right before field study, there should be a worksheet development process. Thus this study suggested a model for that purpose and proceeded it in a series of stages including selecting the objects of education, choosing learning materials and themes, gathering data and analyzing artifacts, deciding a worksheet format, making a worksheet, evaluating, and revising and supplementing.
