DBAE에서 비평적 ‘판단’을 통한 초등학교의 미술사 지도 방안 연구

미술 수업에서 아동들에게 예술가의 참고 작품을 제시하는 경우가 많다. 이 때 교사는 아동들에게 제시하는 작품에 나타나 있는 형식적이고 실제적 요인뿐만 아니라 이 작품을 둘러싸고 있는 시대적 상황, 더 나아가 화가 개인의 심리적 욕구까지도 알아야 한다. 이러한 요소들을 첨가해서 지도할 수 있다면 아동들이 작품을 더 쉽고 자세히 이해하게 되어 수업 목표에 도달하기 위해 선정된 기본 학습 요소를 배우고 미적 안목을 기르는 데 더욱 용이하게 된다. 이러한 학습을 위해 미술 비평적 관점에서 ‘판단’이란 기준을 정해 이를 바탕으로 미술사를 이해하는데 필요한 자료를 제시하였다. ‘판단 이란 무엇이며 판단의 중요한 요인들은 어떤 것이 있는지 먼저 알아보고, 이 요인을 중심으로 자료를 준비하여 수업에 투입한다면 아동들이 미술작품을 관찰하고 판단하는데 적절한 자극이 된다. 작가가 처한 시대적 상황과 이로 인해 필연적으로 이루어진 작품 탄생 과정을 이해한다면 아동 개개인의 시각 세계가 좀 더 논리적이고 분석적으로 사고하고 반응할 수 있다. 또한 미술 수업의 궁극적 목표 가운데 하나인 아동의 미적 안목 육성에 도움을 준다.

It is also desirable for the teachers to understand the actual elements which appear in someone’s piece of work, in addition to the social situation and to the artist’s psychological desires. This makes it possible that students understand the paintings in detail and more easily. Therefore students can be led to accomplish a lesson’s objective by learning the basic study elements and improving their own aesthetic senses.Realizing the kind of art class this study deals with is a ‘judgment’ in a critical view of art and it helps to understand art history. First it examines what is a ‘judgment’ in a critical view of art and what are the main factors in judging. Then it also surveys teaching materials that can stimulate students to observe and judge any piece of art work. If individual student can understand the process of how any artist’s work has been made up by appreciating the social situation which is definitely concerned with his or her work, then this will eventually make students analyse and react to any pieces of art work logically. At the same time it helps for students to develop their aesthetic senses and that is one of ultimate goals for art classes.
