현대미술의 알레고리 구조와 “알레고리적 읽기” 교육의 요청

A Study on the allegorical structures in contemporary arts and the needs of “allegorical reading” in elementary art education

현대 미술의 상황은 이전 모더니즘 미술의 양상과 질적으로 많은 차이점을 보여준다. 이는 단순히 전문 작가들과 이론가들의 문제만은 아니다. 현대미술의 특성적 상황은 어린 학습자들의 일상 환경을 구성하는 모든 이미지-기호들에도 동일하게 나타난다. 따라서 교사와 학습자는 현대미술 그리고 현대의 일상 이미지-기호들에서 보여주는 패러다임 변화를 읽을 수 있는 적절한 도구를 학습할 필요가 있다. 이에 연구자는 현대 이미지-기호의 상황적 특성을 알레고리적 충동이라는 개념으로 요약하고, 이를 효과적으로 대처하고자 해체적 읽기로서 “알레고리적 읽기” 교육의 필요성을 요청하고자 한다.

A Study on the allegorical structures in contemporary arts and the needs of “allegorical reading” in elementary art educationKim, Dong-Yong(Korea National University of Education) The condition of the contemporary arts qualitatively differs from the previous that of modernism in many respects. it s not an issue just only for professional artists and theorists. the shifted characteristics of contemporary arts is commonly appeared in all image-signs environments(books, commercial film, all kind of advertisimg, cinema, and T.V, ect) of every day life in which young children live. therefore, teachers and students are necessary to learn and exercise how to read the changes of paradigm showed in contemporary arts and image-signs of daily lifes.Then, this essay defines contemporary characteristics of image-signs as a “allegorical impulse”, in order effectively to meet the situation, and asks the needs of “allegorical reading” as deconstructive reading in elementary art education.
