초등미술과 수업에 대한 교육비평 연구

A Study on the Educational Criticism in the Elementary Art Classroom

본 연구는 초등학교 5학년 미술 수업에 대한 질적 연구를 수행함으로써, 수업에서 교사의 실천적 지식을 기술하고 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 연구 방법으로 비 참여 관찰, 면담, 문헌 분석을 사용하였다. 진 교사의 수업에서는 귀납적 사고 수업 모형에서 강조하는 학생들의 추론 과정보다는 교사의 의도적이며 계획적인 교수 과정이 부각되었다. 또한 도식적 그림의 활용이 효과적인가의 문제와 관련하여, 수업에서 사용된 도식을 분석하고 그 활용 방법에 대한 문제점을 지적하였다. 특히 진 교사의 수업은 재미있는 미술 수업을 위해 학생 사진을 활용하였으며, 진지한 미술 수업을 위해 교사의 계획적인 교수 과정 그리고 원근 표현 방법을 명확하게 제시하는 점이 특징적이었다. 이러한 점에서 진 교사의 수업은 재미와 진지함의 조화가 엿보이는 수업이었다.

The purpose of the study was to describe and analyze the practical knowledge of the teacher in art classroom based on the qualitative research method. I discussed the concrete aspects of the practical knowledge which are about the individual teacher s belief and value, and the way the teacher organized the lesson. I observed and criticized the art lesson in the elementary school. The lesson is about the perspective. It is hard to describe the whole situation and events where the lesson took place. I focused on the teacher s practice rather than the students learning experiences. In this study, I found that the lesson is characterized not as the induction thinking lesson but as an intended and preplanned teaching. Especially, I pointed out that the motivation phase is problematic in a way that students are needed to be shared with the teacher s value and interest on the perspective. As an alternative teaching method, I suggested the storytelling. Besides, I discussed the use of the conceptual picture whether it is effective or not. Finally, I described the art lesson based on the fun and seriousness which are mentioned emphasizingly by the participant teacher. This study has limits on the research participant and the research term. Because of this problem, I should not say that this study show all aspects of art lesson. However, we can see the similar intention of the teacher, her concerns and problem solving, and the lesson situation in other teachers classroom, so that this study is not just about an art lesson. Rather it can be supplemented through the proliferation of in-depth qualitative research of art classrooms.
