The guidance of drawing lines and shading vased on characteristics of Korean painting in India Ink

One of the most important value of art education in our society is its function to re-create our race s artistic culture and to develop the ability to enjoy it. But as our society has been westernized, the art education has mainly focused on the Western art. In such an education system, we cannot re-create our traditional culture, and besides the people who would be willing to enjoy it will be decreased. Therefore, we should teach Korean art as our traditional culture to children through right education systems since childhood, educate them not to have prejudice that the tradition is the backwardness and make them familiar with the traditional culture and willing to participate it. Also teaching Korean drawing which has been transmitted from generation to generation with our race s emotion has been an effective way to achieve a purpose of the art education as an emotional education. In this report, I want to study that teaching Korean drawing is an effective and right education system in schools to approach those reasons mentioned above.
