Today we live in Age of Tremendous Knowledge . To accept infinite information that is produced in society of up-to-date scientific technology and to make efficient use of it, it was focused on How to Learn rather than What to Learn . So Mind map, which symbolize and then efficiently combine information by meeting social change, is worth taking advantage of as new method for learning. This study is to find the method to foster elementary school students ability for appreciating Art by searching for the method to take advantage of education for appreciating Art on the basis of correct understanding about Mind map. The results of this study are as follows; First, as a result of impression education that made use of Mind map, it was possible to perform teaching of combined impressions. Second, impression education that made use of Mind map led to active discussion and expression. Third, thanks to impression education that applied Mind map, children s ability to choose Art cultures was developed. Considering the above results of this study, impression education that made use of Mind map is systematic teaching method for expression and understanding over just impression. In impression stage, Mind map enabled to feel value of works of Art, to appreciate, and on the basis of this, it led to express children s own heart. The process enabled to understand others feelings, and to develop ability to appreciate Art. Also it was effective to understand work of Art or nature.
