1920년대에 있어서 한국인 교사들의 미술교육의 연구 활동과 내용

The current study aims at investigating Korean art teachers research and practice on arteducation revealed in Chosun in Munkyo, an educational magazine published by Chosen Kyoiku-Kai in 1920 s. In the history of Korean art education, the modern era refers to the years between 1875 and 1945. During the modern era, it was only at the end of 1920 s when Korean art teachers contributed articles, research and academic papers. In Chosun in Munkyo, there were five Korean art teachers articles and research papers. Followings are the significances of the papers. First, in the 1920 s ImHwa was the most important content in the textbooks and in the art curriculum implemented Chosun educational laws. The primary goal of the reproduction education was developing observation and picturing abilities. As a result, ImHwa was focused theoretically in the 1920 s. In the 1920s articles and research papers contributed by Korean art teachers in a Chosun educational magazine, however, ZaYuHwa-education was popular at the national level and learner-centered art-education was already practiced. That is, at classroom level, education focused-on ImHwa was vanishing, while ZaYuHwa-education was emerging. Second, at the end of 1920 s there were Korean art teachers independent research activities. Evidently, even under the Japanese colonial educational policies, Korean art teachers tried to perform research works and developed Korean art education. That is, it was at the end of 1920 s when Korean modern art education developed beyond the control of Japanese rules. In conclusion, in the research papers and the articles contributed by Korean art teachers in a Chosun educational magazine, it was found that ImHwa-focused education faded away and ZaYuHwa-education replaced ImHwa-focused education in 1920 s. It was also found that Korean art teachers did research studies and developed Korean art educationindependently at the end of 1920 s.
