슈타이너학교의 초등회화교육에 관한 연구

The present study aims at reconsidering elementary painting education of Steiner school at each grade level that emphasizes internalized education from holistic perspective. As a result, this paper attempts to understand the meanings of elementary art education today and provide concrete instructional implications for improving elementary art education in Korea. The contents of this paper includes the following three areas centered around the review of literature and the report of visiting Steiner schools: 1. Through understanding Steiner s humanistic aspects and perspectives toward art education, the present study revealed his distinguished philosophy of education. 2. Through considering basic learning programs for painting education in Steiner schools, this study organized the features of color learning used in Formen & Watercolor painting different from art education in Korea. 3. This paper analyzed in detail painting education classrooms to understand practices of elementary art education in three groups; group 1 (from grade 1 to grade 3), group 2 (grade 3 to grade 5), and group 3 (grade 6). Elementary painting education of Steiner schools was first introduced through analyzing three groups of painting classrooms. The results of this study showed that art education of Steiner schools emphasizes the relationship between children and the world. Additionally, this study suggests that Formen and Watercolor painting of Steiner schools can be an alternative instructional method of the current art education and provide implications for elementary art education in Korea.
