해외봉사활동의 만족도에 대한 탐색적 연구

An Exploratory Study on Satisfaction of the Overseas Volunteer Program for University Students: Based on H University

본 연구는 해외봉사활동에 참여한 대학생들의 만족도와 효과에 대한 인식을 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 경기도에 소재한 H 대학의 2014년도 동계 해외봉사에 참여한 학생을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고 총 57명의 응답이 분석에 사용되었다. 분석 결과, 전반적으로 만족도는 높은 편이나 세부 문항별 분석에서는 사전 준비 모임 및 지원, 오리엔테이션 교육에 대한 만족도가 다른 문항들에 비하여 상대적으로 낮게 나타났다. 해외봉사의 교육적 효과를 위해서는 사전 교육 및 준비에 대한 부분이 강조되고 있는 바, 이에 대한 보완이 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 해외봉사활동의 효과에 대한 인식도 4점대로 비교적 높게 나타났다. 결론 부분에서는 분석 결과를 바탕으로 대학의 해외봉사활동의 개선 방향 등에 대하여 제언하였다.

The oversea volunteer program is one of the effective education programs for educating the university students as global citizens. The purpose of this study was to explore the satisfaction and effectiveness on overseas volunteering program for university students. With regard to this purpose, this paper investigated the opinions 57 students who participated in overseas volunteering program of H university. The major finding were as follows: The grades of satisfaction and effectiveness are higher compared to the normal grades. But, satisfactions of pre-supervision and orientation education are a little lower than the others. The activities were meaningful experiences and influenced on their perceptions about other countries and cultures. And they thought that communications with the managers, the members and the natives were very important. In conclusion, this paper suggests the practical implication for development and operation of overseas volunteering program.
