Green Home Guardian System Modeling in Smart Grid

지난 10년간 홈네트워크를 포함하여 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅은 서비스의 다양성 및 위치 기반 서비스 추론에 집중하였다. 서비스의 다양성을 강화하기 위해 지능화된 기기와 시스템, 미들웨어를 개발하고 실제 환경에 적용시켰다. 그러나 이러한 시스템에서는 과도한 서비스 설정과 서비스 구현을 위해 엄청난 양의 이벤트 처리가 발생되었고 이로 인해 다양한 환경으로의 적응성에 대한 문제점이 제기되었다. 또한 전력 소비 효율과 전력 인식 서비스의 QoS 보장이 고려되지 않았다. 최근 Green IT paradigm을 통해 사용자들에게 에너지 효율성을 강화할 수 있는 방안에 대한 연구에 관심이 모아지고 있으며 관련 서비스와 기기들에 대한 연구가 새롭게 진행되고 있다. 특히 에너지 소비에 대한 모니터링과 대기 전력 최소화 방안에 대한 연구들이 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 하지만 서비스의 질적인 향상과 에너지 소비의 효율성 간의 trade-off에 대한 문제점을 간과할 수 없다. 따라서 사용자의 체감적인 손실의 최소화와 에너지 관리의 효율성을 높임으로써 사용자 만족도를 높이기 위한 서비스 플랫폼을 제안한다. 제안 하는 플랫폼은 개별 기기에 대한 전력 모니터링과 전체 공간에서의 소비 패턴, 상황 정보 수집을 기반으로 전력의 효율적인 load balancing, 상황 변화에 따른 동적인 제어를 통해 QoS를 향상시킨다.

In the last decade, ubiquitous computing, including the home network, has focused on service diversity and location-aware service reasoning. However, the previous systems analyze a tremendous amount of events and provide a centralized topology. The power consumption efficiency and the QoS guarantee of the power-aware services have not been adequately considered in these previous systems. For the implementation of the fine grid and energy-efficient services, the system must provide QoS management and energy tradeoffs in smart space. Therefore, we propose a GHGS (Green Home Guardian System) using an ontology-based context model that includes the power management status, the service policies, the context correlations, and the service status. Our system provides an information convergence scheme utilizing a FSG (Fine-Smart Grid) engine that uses the network convergence to enhance the system, the energy load-balancing, and the QoS guarantee. We also propose a degressive loss minimization based on a pattern analysis scheme by using the interconnection with the smart grid. Furthermore, we designed the intelligent device with embedded sensors to offer effective service prediction by the interconnection with the GHGS and other devices.
