여성농업인 조직활동의 가치에 관한 연구

A Study on the Values of Female Farmers’ Organizational Activities: Case of Rural Women Leaders Federation

이 연구는 한국생활개선회 관련자를 대상으로 심층면접을 통해 여성농업인 조직활동의 가치를 분석하고자 하였다. 연구결과, 여성농업인의 조직활동은 여성농업인·농업·농촌사회의 성장동력으로써의 가치를 지니는 것으로 나타났으며 개인적 가치와 사회적 가치로 분류되었다. 즉 여성농업인의 조직활동은 여성농업인 개인에게 농업·농촌사회가 원하는 리더로서 능력을 신장시키는 조직, 여성농업인의 소득원을 제공하는 조직, 여성농업인의 잠재력과 개성 표출의 장, 여성농업인의 신체·정신건강을 지원하는 조직, 그리고 여성농업인에게 열린 배움터로 써의 가치를 지니는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 사회적 가치는 농업·농촌의 공익가치를 실천하는 조직, 농업기술·경영 전문가를 육성하는 조직, 쾌적한 정주환경을 조성하는 선도조직, 농촌자원을 보존하고 계승하는 주체, 그리고 농업·농촌 발전을 위한 사회자본의 학습단체로 분류되었다. 이 연구는 60년동안 지속된 여성농업인의 조직활동을 재조명하고 가치를 체계적으로 정리함으로써 시대가 요구하는 조직활동을 위한 기반을 마련하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

This study analyzes the values of organizational activities of women farmers by performing in-depth interviews with members of Rural Women Leaders Federation. As a result of the this study, the organizational activities of women farmers are found to have values as growth engines for women farmers, agricultural and rural societies, and classified into personal and social values. In other words, the organizational activities, in terms of individuals, have values as an organization, which enhances women farmers abilities as leaders required by the farming communities, provides a source of income and supports physical and mental health for women farmers and as a field for expressing potentiality and individuality of women farmers and supplying open learning place to rural women. Also, in the level of the social values the organizational activities were classified as an organization, which practices public values of agriculture and a rural community and develops agricultural technology and management of experts, as a subject, which preserves and succeeds the agricultural resources, and as a learning society, which elevates a social capital for rural development. This investigation has significance because it provides a foundation for the organizational activities that the present-day require by reilluminating the organizational activities of women farmers, which has been existed since last sixty years, and by classifying values of them.
