마이스터고 신입생의 진학동기 영향요인 분석

Meister High School Freshmen’s Motive for Entering a school and its Related Variables

이 연구의 목적은 마이스터고 신입생의 진학동기 유형을 구분하고 영향요인을 탐색하는데 있었다. 또한 이를 통해 마이스터고 신입생의 진로지도를 위한 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2016학년도 현재 운영 중인 43개교 마이스터고별로 신입생 20명씩 총 860명을 표집하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문조사 분석 결과, 마이스터고 신입생의 진학동기 유형은 취업 가능성 중시 유형, 자신의 적성과 흥미 중시 유형, 전공 분야의 전망 중시 유형, 기타 유형의 네 가지로 구분되었다. 또한 가정환경 특성요인과 중학교 생활 중 진로 및 진학 관련 경험요인에 따라 진학동기 유형에 차이가 있음을 확인하였다. 이러한 분석 결과를 토대로 동기이론에 기반한 후속 연구 및 부모님과의 상호작용에 대한 후속 연구가 필요하며, 중학교 시기 마이스터고에 대한 진학지도 강화와 진학동기에 따른 맞춤형 진로지도 프로그램 운영이 요구됨을 제안하였다.

This study was designed to draw implications for Meister high school s career guidance by categorizing motive types for entering a school of Meister high school freshmen and exploring factors which could be influence that motive types. To achieve these purposes, we conducted a survey of 860 Meister high school freshmen in 2016. The survey results showed that there were 4 different types of motive for entering a school(type of employment possibility, type of one s aptitude and interest, type of outlook of major and type of others). And they were influenced by factors which were related family background and career experiences in middle school. Through these findings, we proposed several suggestions such as 1) a follow-up study based on motive theory, 2) a follow-up study for interaction with parents, 3) strengthening career guidance which is related to Meister school for middle school students, and 4) operating career guidance program for Meister high school freshman which are customized motive types.
