진로진학상담교사의 교육요구도 분석

An Analysis on the Needs Assessment of Duties of Career Education & Guidance Teachers

이 연구의 목적은 진로진학상담교사가 인식하는 직무별 중요도와 실행도의 조사 결과를 토대로 원활한 직무 수행을 위한 교육 및 개선 요구를 분석하는 데 있었다. 이를 위하여 2015년 진로교육 현황조사에서 중등학교 진로진학상담교사 800명이 응답한 결과를 분석하였다. 이 연구에서 종합한 진로진학상담교사의 12가지 직무에 대하여 중요도와 실행도 분석, Borich 교육 요구도 분석, The Locus for Focus 분석, 그리고 t분석과 분산분석을 활용한 집단별 차이 분석 등을 수행하였다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중학교와 고등학교의 진로진학상담교사에게 공통으로 중요도가 높은 직무는 학교 진로교육 기획, 진로상담이며, 실행도가 높은 직무는 진로상담, 진로 활동 프로그램 운영이다. 둘째, 진로진학상담교사의 직무 수행을 위하여 교육이 필요하거나 환경 개선 및 정책 지원의 요구가 높은 직무는 학생 진로상담, 직업정보 제공 및 활용, 학부모 진로교육·상담, 지역사회 네트워킹 등이다. 셋째, 진로진학상담교사의 직무에 대한 교육 요구는 학교 급, 학교 유형, 교사의 진로교육 경력에 따라 일부 차이가 발생하였으나, 진로교육 경력에 따른 차이는 크지 않았다. 이 연구의 결과를 토대로 진로진학상담교사의 현직연수 교육과정에 대한 개선 방안, 중요도에 비해 실행이 저조한 직무의 수행 개선을 위하여 학교 환경의 개선 및 정책 지원 사항 등을 제언하였다.

The purpose of this study was analyzing the educational needs of career education & guidance teachers based on the survey of their duties importance and performance levels. For this study, the data of School Career Education Survey in 2015 responded by 800 secondary school career education & guidance teachers were used. Based on career education & guidance teacher’s 12 defined duties, research questions are investigated through importance - performance analysis, Borich needs assessment, the Locus for Focus analysis, t-test and ANOVA. The main results of this study are following. First, the survey indicates that the most important duties for mid and high school career education & guidance teachers are designing school’s educational plan and career counseling. And the highest performance duties are career counseling and operating career activities. Second, among their duties, career counseling, providing occupational information, career education and counseling for parents, and community networking are required to improve through teacher training, and to call intervention for political and environmental ways. Third, the educational needs of teachers differ in some duties regarding school levels, types and length of career education teaching experience of career education & counseling teachers, but there are not many differences in length of teaching experience of teachers. Based on these results, the educational needs of career education & counseling teachers should be applied in teacher training programs. Also we suggested environmental and political supports to enhance performance of career education & guidance teachers’ duties that showing low performance compared with high importance level.
