전문대학 비서학 전공 여학생들의 성격 5요인 특성이 진로 장벽과 진로 포부에 미치는 영향

The effect of big five personality factors on career barrier and career aspiration among college students majoring in secretarial studies: the moderate effect of academic self-efficacy

본 연구는 전문대학 비서학 전공 여학생들의 성격 5요인 특성과 진로 포부 및 진로 장벽간의 관계를 살펴보고, 학업 동기의 주요 변인인 학업 효능감의 조절 효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 심리적 불안정성은 진로 장벽의 모든 하위 요인, 즉 자아 부정적 장벽, 직업 부정적 장벽, 개인 정보적 장벽에 유의미한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 외향성 및 친화성, 그리고 성실성에 대한 인식은 진로 장벽의 하위요인 중 자아 부정적 장벽에 유의미한 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 개방성에 대한 인식은 진로 장벽의 하위 요인 중 개인 정보적 장벽에 유의미한 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 외향성 및 친화성, 그리고 성실성이 진로 포부에 미치는 긍정적 영향을 확인하였다. 다섯째, 성실성과 진로 포부의 하위 요인 간의 관계에서 학업 효능감의 조절 효과를 확인하였다. 본 연구는 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 전문대학 비서학 전공 여학생들의 진로 장벽에 대한 인식 수준을 낮추고, 진로 포부의 인식 수준을 높이기 위한 성격 5요인 특성 이론 및 학업 효능감의 조절 효과가 의미하는 시사점을 제시하고자 하였다.

This study looked into the relationship between the big five personality factors, and career aspirations & career barriers of college students majoring in secretarial studies with focus on the moderate effect of academic self-efficacy which is a major variable of academic motivations. The results of this study are as follows: First, psychological instability among the big five personality factors was found to have a significant positive influence on the perception level of all sub-factors of career barrier, i.e. self-abnegating barrier, occupation-denying barrier, individual informative barrier. Second, the results showed that perception of extroversion, affinity and faithfulness had a significant negative influence on self-abnegating barrier among the sub-factors in carrier barriers. Third, perception of openness was found to have a significant negative influence on individual informative barrier among the sub-factors of career barriers. Fourth, this study confirmed the affirmative influence of extroversion, affinity, and faithfulness on career aspirations. Fifth, this study confirmed the moderate effect of academic self-efficacy in the relationship between sub-factors in faithfulness and career aspirations. This study, on the basis of such results, this study aimed to suggest implications meant by the big five personality factors theory & moderate effect of academic self-efficacy for lowering the perception level of career barriers and heightening the perception level of career aspirations of college students majoring in secretarial studies.
