The Competency Model Development of Field Practical Trainer of Korea National College of Agriculture and Fisheries

이 연구는 한국농수산대학 장기현장실습 현장교수의 역량 모델 개발을 통해 현장교수의 선발, 교육훈련, 평가의 준거로 활용하여 장기현장실습 교육을 보다 더 체계화시키고자 수행되었다. 한국농수산대학은 현장 농어업경영인 양성을 위해 국가에서 설립한 3년제 전문대학으로 1학년과 3학년은 학교에서 이론과 실습을 통한 교육을 이수하고, 2학년은 대학이 선정한 농어업경영체에서 장기현장실습을 하고 있으며, 장기현장실습장에서 실습학생의 교육을 담당하는 자를 ‘현장교수’라 명하고 있다. 현장교수는 일반대학의 교수와는 달리 생업으로 농어업을 경영하면서, 부가적으로 학생의 현장실습을 지도하는 교수자 역할을 하고 있다. 따라서 현장교수는 농어업경영자로서의 역할과 교수자의 역할을 동시에 수행하고 있어, 역량의 정의도 농업경영자로서의 역할과 실습학생을 가르치는 교수자로서의 역할에 따른 역량으로 구분하였다. 즉, 각각의 역할에 따른 선행연구의 유사사례를 분석하여 역량군 및 하위역량을 설계하고 각각의 역량에 대한 정의를 하여 잠정역량모델을 구안하였다. 구안된 잠정역량모델의 타당성 검증을 위하여 한국농수산대학의 장기현장실습을 운영하고 있는 전공학과 교수 및 농업경영학 전공 교수, 실습생을 지도하는 현장교수 등 14명으로 전문가 패널을 구성하여, 2차에 걸친 의견수렴과정을 거쳤다. 이를 통해 한국농수산대학 장기현장실습 현장교수의 역량을 경영능력, 생산기술능력, 교수능력, 지도능력, 대외협력 역량 등 5개의 역량군을 도출하였고, 하위 역량으로 계획‧실천력, 정보‧분석력, 협조‧대응력, 전공지식, 전공기술, 실습이해, 실습계획, 실습운영, 실습평가, 사명감‧열의, 인성‧도덕성, 생활지도, 대외협력 등 13개의 역량을 확정하였다.

The purpose of this study was the competency model development of a field practical trainer of Korea National College of Agriculture and Fisheries, using such criteria for the selection, training and evaluation of the trainer. The college was established to raise the professional development of the nation’s farmers through a three year specialized education course. Every student of the college has to complete a one year course field practical training in their second year at an advanced farm or a fishery. The designated trainer of the farm or fishery mainly operates his/her own farm and additionally trains the student. So the trainer plays a role as a manager and a trainer at the same time. We developed a provisional competency model through the review of preceding research studies. The provisional competency model was structured around criteria such as competency clusters, competencies and definition of each competency. We organized a delphi panel with 14 people; of which 10 are professors. Nine professors are in charge of the practical training and a professor majoring farm management at Korea National College of Agriculture and Fisheries, and 4 field practical trainers to verify the validity of the provisional competency model. We got the final competency model through surveys of two rounds of the delphi panel. The final competency model was composed of five competency clusters; organized around management ability, producing capability, teaching competence, guiding ability and cooperation skill. The model also consisted of thirteen competencies based on the following areas: Ability of plan and practice, Capacity of information and analysis, Skill of collaboration and maneuver, Knowledge of major, Skill of major, Practicum understanding, Practicum planning, Practicum operating, Practicum evaluating, Sense of duty and enthusiasm, Personality and morality, Life guidance, Cooperation skills.
