본 연구는 도시민의 농촌생활 의향을 진단하고, 어떠한 요인들이 농촌생활 의향에 영향을 미치는가를 분석함으로써 농촌이 지역공동체로서 활력을 가지고, 제 기능을 담당할 수 있는 공간으로 변모되기 위한 정책대안을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 서울특별시와 6개 광역시에 거주하는 도시민을 대상으로 인터뷰와 설문조사를 실시하였다. 분석방법에는 기술통계와 신뢰도 검사, 탐색적 요인분석, 로지스틱 회귀분석 등이 포함되었다. 로짓 모형 분석 결과, 농촌생활의향은 농촌의 경제적 가치, 주변 편익시설, 지역사회의 자연환경, 소음 및 악취 존재여부, 직장 접근성, 공공도서관 이용 편리성에 대한 도시민의 인식차이에 따라 다르게 나타났으며, 도시민의 월평균 소득, 종사직업, 농촌지역 학교 재학 여부, 농사일 경험 여부가 농촌생활 의향에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 자녀교육환경, 대중교통 이용 편의, 공연, 전시시설의 편리성, 학력, 결혼, 부모동거 여부, 주택 소유 여부는 농촌생활 의향에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 농촌 환경변화와 개선을 통하여 도시민의 농촌이주를 유인할 수 있도록 하는 정책 대안이 요구되며, 농촌체험 경험이 농촌생활 의향으로 연결되므로 다양한 농촌체험 프로그램을 활성화하여 도시민에게 제공한다면 농촌생활 의향을 높일 수 있을 것이다.
To investigate factors influencing urbanites intention to live in rural area, an interview survey has been conducted in Seoul and six metropolitan cities. Employing a total of 663 samples, reliability test, exploratory factor analysis, and logistic regression were analyzed. Results of the logit model were used to investigate predictor variables for city people living intent in rural village. Factors influencing urbanites intension to live in rural area include economic value, convenient facilities, community natural environment, filthy odors or noise, accessibility to work, convenience to use public library, monthly income, and vacation. Also urbanites experience of attending schools in rural area, and farming were crucial factors determining urbanites willingness to live in rural area. On the other hand, education infrastructure, public transportation, convenience to attend performances or exhibitions, education level, marriage, living with parents, and home ownership did not have any significant impact on living intent in rural area. In sum, the results of study addressed that community and public agency need to make policy that induce urbanites to live in rural village. A variety of programs that can provide experience in rural area is effective to induce urbanites to rural area.
