전문계 고등학교의 사회적 자본과 흡수능력의 관계

The Relationship between Social Capital and Absorptive Capacity of Vocational Highschool

이 연구의 목적은 우리나라 전문계 고등학교의 사회적 자본과 흡수능력의 수준을 측정하고, 이들의 관계를 구명하는데 있었다. 이 연구의 모집단은 우리나라 전문계 고등학교로 2008년 12월 기준 총 691개교이며, 모집단의 크기에 따른 적정 표집 수는 102개 학교이다. 표집방법으로는 무선표집(Random sampling)을 활용하여 전국의 전문계 고등학교 중 150개 학교를 표본집단으로 설정하였다. 자료 수집은 우편조사를 통해 이루어졌으며, 최종분석은 120개의 학교가 활용되었다. 자료는 학교의 상황을 가장 잘 파악하고 있는 부장교사 3인이 응답한 결과를 활용하였다. 자료 분석은 기술통계 및 추리통계를 사용하였으며, 통계적 유의수준 0.05를 기준으로 판단하였다. 이 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전문계 고등학교의 사회적 자본 수준과 흡수능력 수준은 이론적 평균(보통)보다 약간 높은 수준이다. 둘째, 사회적 자본은 흡수능력과 정적인 상관관계가 있었다. 셋째, 흡수능력에 대한 사회적 자본의 설명력은 50.8%이며, 인지적 차원, 구조적 차원 순으로 설명력이 높게 나타났다. 넷째, 흡수능력의 세부 단계에 대한 사회적 자본의 영향을 본 결과 획득과 변형에는 사회적 자본의 인지적 영역이 영향을 미쳤으며, 동화와 활용에는 사회적 자본의 구조적 차원이 영향을 미쳤다.

The purpose of this study were to measure the level of social capital and absorptive capacity in the vocational high school, and to determine the relationship between social capital and absorptive capacity. The population of this study was 691 vocational high schools, 150 schools were sampled for the study based on the random sampling. A survey questionnaire, the method of data analysis, consists of social capital scale, absorptive capacity scale and school characteristics scale; these three scales were subdivided into smaller parts. The results of this study were as follows: first, the social capital levels in vocational high school were slightly higher than average. Especially, the cognitive dimension was the highest, and the structural dimension was the lowest. Second, absorptive levels in vocational high schools were higher than average. Particularly, transformation was the highest, and acquisition was the lowest. Third, the absorptive capacity have positive relationships with the social capital. Fourth, the social capital explained 50.8% of the absorptive capacity.
